H1B - Alberta PNP File Number / Certificate Timeline

I got an email from my lawyer today mentioning that but I dont think so anything will change so we wasted our fees time.Canadian governtment should not allow Alberta state to start any new programs in the near future even if the economy is good.

I am writing to you today to inform you that the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) has recently issued letters to some of our clients, who had applied for Provincial Nomination under the US Visa Holder. In the letter, the Alberta Government has advised our clients that their application file is being closed due to “global economic circumstances”, which have led to reduced job opportunities in Alberta within the Information and Communications Technology sector. A copy of the contents of this letter is attached for your review, in case you have not yet received the letter directly from AINP.

Upon first analysis, this seems to be an arbitrary and improper action on the part of the Alberta Government. At the present time, we are discussing the merits of a Class Action Lawsuit against the Alberta Government with learned legal counsel in that province. I will be writing to you in the coming days with a further analysis of the situation. Please rest assured that my office will work diligently on your behalf to address this unfortunate development.

I just recive the rejection letter like everyone who applied in AINP today,but my problem is that the file nos is diffrent in the letter then the file nos i do recive from immigration officer in 8 march 2010 so please any one can help in this confusion please.

Oh So you think people are lucky who wasted 2 thsnd dollars in hiring a lawyer and than getting a denied letter saying that your case is closed and lawyers will nvr refund the fees as this is not their fault.

I believe one should file himself fo any kind of Canadian immigration, whether state or Federal. I was also about to go through a lawyer at advice of a friend in Canada and he was asking 2000, but then I deciced to atleast check it out myself and it was a piece of cake to file. Laywers waste more time in asking information back and forth than what you would spend in actually filling out the application form. And just look how many times AINP contacted you or how many times they let you contact them, so what they hell lawyers really do. Lawyers are never smarter than engineers when it comes to caliber.

Guys do not waste your hard earned dollars on stuff that we can easily do ourself.

I thought my NOC code was rare 2147 had applied in April. Even I got letter today with file closed. I hope US overhauls its immigration by end of this year or early next year and noone had to go to live life of an Eskimo in Canada. Hang in there guys and dont loose hope.

I just talked with my lawyer and he mentioned that they along with many other firms are unhappy with what AINP has done as it is against the Canadian Immigration system to abuse the applicants by wasting their time, money and effort.

Hence they are dsicussing along with other firms to file a clas action law suit against Govt of Alberta and that might somehow result in AINP nominating applicants who files as long as IT-NOCs were available.

The lawyer's assessment is that AINP was supposed to close all IT related NOCs in Jan 2009 but they delayed and hence the applications flooded their system, therefore they want to make AINP pay for this blunder by re-opeing the cases and issuing nominations.

We all know that many of the applicants have used AINP just as a backup, well going forth we should all remember that we need to pursue immigration to Canada only if we truly intend to immigrate and settle there or else we will end up with similar mess.

It seems that they massively printed genic message on 1st March stating FILE CLOSED.

I applied on April 23rd 2009, got file no on Nov. 2nd 2009. NOC - so called 2173 and finally received usual foolish letter recently. Anyway all our friends expressed their anger, I don't want to add any more.

TILL THIS MONMENT IN THEIR OFFICIAL WEBSITE FOR AINP - H1B. THEY MENTIONED LIKE THIS: BUT WHO CARES.

HOW BRAINLESS THESE PEOPLE ARE.
Anyway Past is Past, as some of our friends mentioned regarding LEGAL ACTION OR APPEALING TO ALBERTA GOV'T. Is this possible. If possible we will gohead and do the same.

Some of our friends mentioned that we kept this AINP as backup , it is not true to all.

Finally, Alberta is losing super hitech proven experienced IT people.

I just now received the letter from AINP which no one of us wanted to receive ... this is really sad thing.
I applied in 9th March 2009, and then AINP requested for more documents on 15th April, so maybe I am counted with April candidates.

They screwed up big time! It is clearly stated that The Strategic Recruitment Stream - U.S. Visa Holder Category is part of the Government of Alberta's long-term immigration strategy
and that no job offer is required.

Legal action should be taken against the Government of Alberta!
What they did is stupid and unfair!

The AINP Strategic Recruitment Stream for U.S. Visa Holder Category was originally introduced to help build Alberta's labour work force. Eligible occupations within this category are based on labour shortages in Alberta and must be on the AINP Occupations Under Pressure list. The list is regularly reviewed and revised to ensure it accurately reflects the Alberta labour market.

As a result of the global economic climate, Alberta's ICT sector has seen a major reduction in the number of job opportunities. This has resulted in the AINP closing the files of applicants whose ICT occupation is no longer on the list.Your file will be re-opened if you obtain a valid job offer from an Alberta employer and provide this information to the AINP no later than 01 April 2011. For additional details about re-opening your file, please refer to the AINP letter dated 01 March 2010.
