Just trying to gauge where are they as of now ?
Mines is 072* and I've moved back to India in Aug 09. I've already updated AINP about it.
No email so far from them.

Hi All,

Since lot of people are discussing about this, I will share my experience too.

My info:
Appl sent: 3/25/2009
NOC code: 2141
File # received: 8/7/2009

I got email from AINP on 10/19:

"The copy of the IMM 0008 schedule 4 submitted with your application is incomplete. You must provide an amount under question 4, funds. Please submit an amended copy by return email or by fax to my attention at the number below."

I didnt respond to this, like most of us, I was fed up with this whole program and thought "whats the use?"

I again got another email on Nov 4 from the same person:

"Please provide a completed copy of the form IMM0008, schedule 4, and a copy of your most recent pay stub, by December 4, 2009"

I sent the above mentioned on Nov 6 and got confirmation that she got it. When I asked about my application Status and mentioned about the "catch 22" situation we are in about getting a job in Alberta from US, see her reply below...

"Thank you for the documents. The status of your application is “in process”.

Not all Alberta employers require a foreign national to have PR status before extending a job offer. If you have any promising interviews, or if an employer says that they would hire you until different circumstances, please encourage them to contact the Immigrate to Alberta Information line at 780-424-6419 (or 1-877-427-6419). Our agents can advise the employer on how you could obtain a Work Permit without the employer having to go through the approval (Labour Market Opinion) process. This is possible for Alberta Provincial Nominees who have an offer of full-time employment from an Alberta employer, as we have an agreement with citizenship and Immigration Canada."

I asked what does that " in process" means, what is the time frame?

"In process means exactly that. Your application is under review. I am unable to provide an exact time frame of when your file will be finalized."

This is I got, hope this is helpful

Thanks and Good Luck to all!!

Hello Firasj78,
I think accounting falls under NOC 1111, that and reconciliation is my area. Since you are currently a director of reimbursement and you audit accounts to comply with government regulations which is a main component of financial auditing, I am sure that it falls under NOC 1111. I wouldn't worry about it because I'm sure AINP considers it to be so too.

Best,

I applied in March '09 under NOC 1111 and received file number in August.
Hi Unique12,
I applied under NOC 1111 in July. I am confused if i fell under 1111 or not. What is your job description?
I worked as an accountant for the past 3 years and changed my job title to director of reimbursement for my H1b started past october in a home medical equipment company.
do i fall under 1111?
I supervise 25 employees, analyze cash flow, hire and fire, audit files to make we are complying with governement regulations, make changes to billing office...

please advise
thank you

Hi

You should be recieving your file # by Dec or earlier. Well I applied on Oct 1st so its a long road for me but I guess AINP is picking up the speed. Mine NOC is 2242 also non-IT. So far only thing I have is the Fed Ex reciept.

Today I got mail from my Lawyer stating to send the following ASAP.
1) A copy of the candidate’s most recent pay stub
2) A copy of the candidate’s current and valid H1B visa or I-797 Notice of Approval
3) Details regarding any changes to the candidate’s employment situation
4) Address update, if there have been any changes
5) Details regarding any changes to the candidate’s family composition
6) Under the Program Evaluation section of our application form, a personal contact of the candidate should be provided rather than the authorized
representative’s name. This section is for follow up 1 and 3 years after landing, and we would not expect you to keep track of every candidate that
you represent for that length of time. Failure to provide this information may have a negative impact on the final decision. This contact is a friend or
family member who lives in the US or Canada, whom AINP could contact 1 and 3 years after you land in Canada, if they are unable to contact you
directly. Please provide their name, address, and telephone number.
My NOC is 2171 and file number is 1XXX.

Did you apply under old process (with pre-assessment before Jan 1)? And when did AINP receive your application?
