Hi

They had asked me regarding a doc that represents the current job title and current job duties, they had also said that h1b visa job description doc would be best so I had provided them all that stuff.

But they haven't emailed me back that we have recieved the docs and stuff ,I rememeber last time they did that when I changed the mailing address.

So I'm wondering shall I send email one more time or fax the docs.Last time during change of address I had emailed and faxed the docs.

Hi Devesh,

Have you tried calling AINP.It's been a long time for You.Hope you get nomination soon.

So best of luck dude!

Yes, I did called them about 3 weeks back, but these people have same Script for all. Please wait, It will be processing as there is are lot of applications. They never provide information on individual case.
If any one got any info on individual case, then please provide me with that special number to call on.

Thanks,
DJ

Dev,

I called on Thursday. same story. However she said that March 19 applicants should hear soon from them.

Hi All,

A friend of mine (Old Process - File No. around 064X) was informed that a decision has been made for his case. He should expect the decision by mail in next 1-2 months. Was asked to contact them back if he gets nothing by September end.
He could not get confirmation whether its a nomination or denial.......they just kept saying decision has been made. So hold on tight things are rolling in a slow animated pace......AINP style.

Is it possible to get the full # if you dont mind? you can do me a personal message if not comfortable to tell in public mode.
my file# is 0604

Devesh,

Sorry....but I only know that much. He just said his number is in 640's. But he got his number in early February. He called them once before, in March.....at that time he was told he is close......something like 15 or 20 th in the line, and he should expect something soon.

That March soon ......has turned into August and September soon. Hope you too get the nomination soon ( and I mean soon as in this or next month soon).

For me my soon will come hopefully next year (my number is in 1400's)

Thanks for sharing this news. Am wondering, if they made the decision why it should take 1 or 2 months for conveying that decision...

I was told it could take UPTO a month after the decission has been made. After the decission is made it take some days for them to print and send the letters and then the postal transit time.

did any one get file number today?

Now I think we have to wait till August last week for file #

So looks like AINP was trying to issue file numbers to all applicants first before nominations. I am assuming that after May19th the number of applications must have decreased drastically due to the removal of most of the IT related NOC codes. If I undertand correctly once a file number has been issued for an applicant it means that a case manager has been assigned and processing has started. Is this true!!!!

Lemme try piecing together the info we have till now:
My understanding is that a file number is allocated after an initial review of all docs (a quantitative review). Then it is forwarded to AINP for closer adjudication. I don't think a case manager is immediately allocated, but they'd go by some process that allocates a file to them "when the time is right" - I may be wrong. At this stage a qualitative review is done and I think this are the cases where we see requests for latest pay stubs or job description details. After this the case manager approves it for issuance. This issuance process again will take some time (see Ell-Bee's post abt his/her call to AINP) any where between 1 to 2 months.
