Most people aren't aware at all tbh. The consequence of a failed H&C becomes an uphill battle against parents being able to visit. Anyone would want to be warned of issues they could potentially face is H&C is rejected. Given how slim H&C's chances are for most, it wasn't a bad advice.

Take the advice you get here as a "Big Brother"/"Big Sister"s advice, they've an opinion(like how you and me we've got one too), you won't ever fully agree with it, but they don't mean ill.

Knowing that the target for all H&C programs is 10k people for this year, ~6.5k for 2026 and ~4.5k in 2027 while also seeing the backlog for general H&C and the number of other H&C programs I don’t understand how reforms have not already been made to H&C and how IRCC is going to deal with this. Processing can’t be 5-10+ years but at this point if there are no changes it will be. H&C has to be reformed and given that there are programs dedicated to parents and grandparents I assume these applications may likely be targeted. Also hope that the government becomes much more honest about chances of parent sponsorship including clarifying on IRCC’s website so people can make educated decision about immigration to Canada. The length of supervisas at the moment is causing a lot of confusion. I can see how many would be surprised to know that Canada expects parents to have a home to return to and expects them to return to even after a multiple year visit to Canada or if they develop health issues and no longer qualify for supervisa insurance.

Hi Pear23,
Please I want to know cos I submitted my PCC initially during my H&C application, and am requested to submit another PCC after AIP. Since I haven't gone back, can i still send the one I attached to my application or process a New PCC.
Hi victorknow,

Yes you can submit the pcc that you already submitted that's what we did. We wrote a brief letter explaining that we haven't been back since and that we were told that we could continue using the same pcc.

Thank you for getting back, I made some findings two days, wrote a letter of explanation alongside Passport exemption letter, attached copies that I earlier sent and emailed it back to them.
