i see alot of people in the group are so toxic they don’t wanna talk about those who are on the second stage for example if you have allready have AIP is ur application going to be cancelled according or speculation the upcoming change on the next 3 weeks bill c-12 ?
canada and ircc has record of cancellation of program like what happen in 2012 those who there application was processed means has AIP they have nothing to do whith change . it will gone effect only the application that has not been processed or has no decision like the following article back in 2012.

i have seen 401 whith zero car passing . and flight cancelled and no single person going out from his house . there is allways Positive thing coming this change my be is gone bring good thing never lose hope and don’t stress something u cant fix

1. They are pretty accurate if there are no changes to the H&C applicants or yearly PR allocations. Sadly the previous processing times had been inaccurate for quite some time which was evident if you looked at the backlog of applications and PR targets. The math didn’t math.
2. We don’t know what would happen to AIPs if for example the program was cancelled. There is a significant backlog of AIPs as well.
3. Yes you can apply for a WP if you have AIP. I haven’t noticed any changes to AIPs being awarded WPs. I would be curious to know if people do run into issues and what length of WP gets awarded. Not sure what you mean by age restriction? Does your H&C application include minors? Do the applicants have status at the moment? What status and when does it expire? Are you in Quebec?
She said nothing about the H&C program. Also made no comments about not reforming any immigration program. She basically didn’t say anything although she is not a good public speaker so I can understand some may have misinterpreted what she said.
Changes in the laws or introduction of new laws are normally applied prospectively. The applications which has already been processed especially for those who have AIP, mean their applications have already passed the eligibility under the Laws applicable at that point in time. I do not believe AIPs will be cancelled even if the whole program is cancelled, which even does not seems to be possibility. Only impact on those who have AIPs is the processing time, every thing else being equal.
Until you are a PR you can technically be affected by any changes to a program. We are seeing applicants in other PR programs reach P2, get COPRs and even in some very rare cases get PR and then have their application cancelled due to some issue with their application. The whole point of c-12 would be to allow IRCC to cancel applications, permits, visas while active or during processing so the whole point is not to be prospective law. How asylum claimants will be addressed is still somewhat in the air still and may require another bill. We would only be guessing when it comes to how AIPs will be treated if the program was cancelled. AIP never guaranteed PR during normal processing. It was essentially a large step towards PR.
It seems there is opposition to Bill C12 and this confirms what I predicted since June that bill C2 and its modified version Bill C12 would not pass easily and it may be struck down by the courts.
