Dear all,
I am very confused at this moment. I was asked to send passport through vfs but before I could send the passport, i received another letter asking to return the passport and send additional documents to add my spouse in the application.
Since i had not sent my passport, i just sent addituonal docs through aramex. Its been a week and no response from cic. Should i wait for reply or should i send it again through vfs?
Please help

March 20th: PPR Request
March 25th: Married
March 26th: Informed IRCC of change in Martial Status
March 28th: Received request from IRCC to upload documents for spouse
April 10th: Uploaded all the documents for spouse
April 14th: BG changed to "We are processing your background check ... "
May 16th: RCMP request for PA(me)
May 30th: RCMP request for Spouse
June 19th: PPR Request.

A delay of a little over 2 months since I uploaded docs for spouse.
Were you asked to upload the docs? Where? Because in my case they are not specific on how to aend the docs. So i sent it through courier as well as mail. But no reply evwn after a week. I tried uploading theough case specific form but it does not allow me to upload file more that 2 mb. Now what to do. Please help.

Hey experts
How long does it take for CIC to process my CSE for adding spouse after ppr an send me further instructions?
Do I have to upload some document along with the CSE for adding my wife, or just a message is enough?

Anybody has some experience with this one?
Appreciate your help!!!

Hi All,

My e-AoR has been on March 4 2017. I applied as single candidate. Going by the expectations I may get my PPR by first week of August. 2017. My Medicals will expire on 10 Jan 2018. I am getting married in second week of August which will be after my PPR. I want to add my spouse to my application before I land. Her Passport is valid till 24 November 2019( Two Years and 3 months from now.) Assuming I am able to load her documents to IRCC by September last week and IRCC takes three months to process her PPR, her PP validity will be less than 1 year 11 months when IRCC wants to issue PPR. Will IRCC reject my application due to validity less than 2 years at the time of issuing of PPR?. Someone told me that IRCC required 2 years of PP validity to process PR applications. Is this correct?. I do not want to renew her PP right now because it will take 2-3 months to get her new passport and then take 2 months to get her FBI-PCC which will delay her addition to my application by a great deal and IRCC will not give me so much time to provide her documents after I inform them. Please advise me as what should be done.

Thanks and Regards,

Generally, you have to submit the following -

Passport(s) of spouse
PCC(s) of spouse
Upfront Medical Exam report of spouse
IMM5465E (Additional Family Information)
Fee for spouse (RPRF + Processing Fee)
Marriage certificate
Additional Proof of funds
@rajkamalmohanram, What are the requirements to get the Spouse's Upfront Medical Exam?

GUYS!! After PPR is done!!

Two questions:
What is the most effective way to report a marital status change? Do we need to contact Ottawa or the local office directly?
How long does it take them to get back to you with further instructions?

Appreciate your help
Cheers

Hey Aroonabi,

I had only one additional documents section where I could upload my docs. I had to compress a lot until it was under 4 mb (60mb initial size).

I did write a letter of explanation as well describing this and letting the officer know I'll be able to provide a high res photos if needed. but luckily they didn't require it.

The agent also mentioned that I can send the documents to their email address. CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca

Here's the quote :

You can also email scanned copies of the documents to this email address. Please note that we can only accept unzipped PDF, JPG or .doc files that are attached to an email, totaling less than 4 MB.

Hey Darko986,

I sent an email to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca notifying them of my status change.

The email was sent on 26th of March and I got the reply on the 28th of March.

Hey Nartus,

You would be telling the clinic that your spouse is there for an upfront medicals which shouldn't require any EE, UCI or application number.
Thank you!.

Can she take medical exams before getting married?

Post PPR PP validity should be 12 months with at least 2 blank pages.
30 days period are given to submit PP to your VO assuming both of you are from a non-visa exempt country.
Hope it helps.

Okay let me get this straight. You can get married and add your spouse to the application at any time after you submit your application - even after your PP is stamped. You can add a dependent up until the point you land in Canada and officially become a PR. No issues.

So, if you are planning to get married in the near future and if it is possible for you to get married before landing, do that. You'll save headache, paperwork and an agonizing wait time of having to sponsor them after you become a PR.
hi Raj
can i go to INDIA now and get married after stamping the passport , will there be any issues ?
Or can i go there and ask to change my visa office so that i can give the passport in INDIA itself am an INLAND candidate.
