GCMS Privacy Act or Access to Information Act

When I try to order GCMS notes there are 2 options


1. Personal information is usually requested under the Privacy Act.
2. All government records (which include corporate documents and personal information) may be requested under the Access to Information Act.

What is the difference between the two? Anyone knows? Thanks

I am an inland cec applicant. I used the privacy act and got the notes for free.
