GCMS Notes Delays - You can file a complaint(Under privacy act)

So its been officially over 90 days and not a single reply or response to emails. i wonder what course of action one can take. GCMS notes shouldnt take more than 3 months i applied on dec 16th and we are entering April now.

We applied in 20 January 2022 and still not a single response for the note. What can be done you think?

The same things happened to us. We applied for our first GCMS note on January 20, 2022 and never received a response. Our lawyer advised us to try another one. The second one arrived after 47 days since the second submission. It’s possible that your request has been lost in piles of requests.

i did actually have a reply from ATIP asking to my lawyers asking if my GCMS notes was for Visit visa or spousal which is weird as i didnt ask for GCMS notes for visit visa so my lawyers had replied saying it was for Spousal .. this was exactly 1 month ago i guess ill wait another 2 weeks to see if something arrives.

It shouldn't take more than 50 days. If takes longer apply for another one.

I waited 60 days to get notes from CBSA (they sent me one notice of extension)... Things would be so much easier if they just provided more detailed application statuses on the official website/IRCC portal. Such a waste of resources.

Very much possible ... how about from Dec 2021 n had to submit another one .. thts me here and still waiting second application submitted in mid May 2022 still waiting .. a few more months and it will be one year of waiting just for notes God knows how long for the actual application.

is it possibility to review our file by cbsa again even after take pr when apply for gmsc we have nothing to worry but curious

if you already have PR then im not sure if you would get the GCMS notes as NOTEs are for applications that are in process.

you mean after get pr they do not give gsm note

I would recommend to apply for another one. It shouldn’t be more than 40 days to process it. Many are forgotten/lost in piles.
