GCKEY Background check not applicable?

The background verification in my tracker changed to "in progress" on April 19, 2023. However, today I noticed in the GCKEY the background check changed to "Not applicable" (it said "we are processing your background check" before). Does anyone know what this means?

Any updates?

Is this NA3?

Same situation happened to me on May 9. It has been two weeks now without any updates.

Same here, i think mined turned to NA either late April or early May, not turned back yet....

I called before and the agent said it’s a glitch on their system. A lot of applications got this na on bg check. But the thing is if its a glitch on their system it should have happened to all applicants like the one in prtracker kn April 19.

I totally agree with u. i know some people did not see this, i also know people who had this NA and soon turned back into wr r processing blah blah, i also know people who are still stuck with NA, like me..

Anyways, if you call ircc and listen about the status of your application it will not even mention anything about your background check if it’s na.

Yess.. i am not hearing any auto-message on the phone call system about Background check for almost a month now...

Mine took a month to change to in progress again (in GCKey), from April 19, on May 24. It changed to completed in Tracker May 25 but still in progress in GCKey. Got pre-approval letter yesterday. Still waiting on copr.

PA's Background Check (Outland/Online) switched to "Not Applicable" today on GCKey. PR Portal shows an update for May 26th. First update since April 19th.

For me its like GCKey has NA since late Apr, and i also have an update on Tracker today, but nothing showing up new in the Application history on tracker...

That's ghost update - especially if you didn't call or email.

I am guessing that once the application for some applicant get started with the criminality and security check the na on gckey background check gets triggered.

If I remembered correctly when I called before my info sharing is complete but criminality & security not started. But when I called because of gckey background check turning into na, my security and criminality is in progress.

My GCKey turned into NA after my eligibility is marked recommended pass and my security turned in progress...

No, through phone calls with IRCC Agents..

GCMS Notes are taking forever to be delivered...

So maybe na has really something to do with processing of background check and not just a glitch according to some agents.
