My status in the e-cas system is "in process".
What does RVBS stand for though? I keep seeing it in this forum.

Its RBVO actually - recieved by Visa office....its the first step taken by VO after recieving complete application.......if application is missing something than decision made is the status and app is returned.......

I think "in process" with RBVO details is an E-Cas System error. This is not actually "in process" that we are expecting.

Our file will be "in process" in actual when the details inside the link will change to "Your application was reviewed and we started processing on --------"

When we can see that line in our E-Cas status then it means our application is actually "in process"

CIC is working closely to manage arrivals in Canada, so that we meet, but do not exceed the immigration plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011. Since we have larger inventories of applications than limits within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must process applications according to the priorities set by Parliament. As we have a sufficient number of applications in our high priority categories, we are not in a position to process your application at this time, nor can we predict when processing on your application will resume.
