I applied for Canadian PR under Express Entry (FSW) with my family. Here is my timeline so far:
AOR: September 1, 2024
Medical passed: September 19, 2024
Pre-arrival letter: December 3, 2024
Since then, the file has been in the security screening stage. It’s now over 12 months of waiting with no final decision yet.
Is anyone else here going through a similar long security/background check? How long did it take in your case?
Also, does such a long delay usually mean that people eventually need to go for a Writ of Mandamus, or do files often get finalized without it?
