Dude, I'm trying to see if I can get a job in Calgary man. Problem is there aren't that many good jobs in Calgary in the industry I want to work in but if something comes up, I'm gone in a heartbeat
Be careful. Unless you have lived in such a city and such a climate, take a trial run.

I just don't get it. Currently there are 5000+ people in the pool with CRS 500+ including CECs and FSWs. They will be more 500+ candidates joining the pool before draws resume, lets assume 10000 in total by July (I think it's a fair estimation since given FSW has been paused for a year and CEC paused for 4 months, we have 5000). If all program draws resume, we can expect 4000 ITAs biweekly (according to 2020 draws), those 500+ will be gone in 2 months. So why is everyone saying the cutoff will be 500+ for six months? Or did I miss anything in my analysis?

@hello2020 - Look at this analysis -

Go to https://www.ee-stats.com/charts/ and compare distribution of candidates from August 16 till recent draw. August 19th draw was 3000 and cut off was 403, so consider all 450 CEC's were clear at that point. Sep 12 draw was of 2000 with cut of 462. Below tables shows increase in candidates in pool from 19-Aug above 450 points. We have to consider all other applications is FSW because factor has not changed otherwise they should have be invited.

Looking at this theory, I think CEC points will hit 450 even early if in case IRCC goes CEC route. If at all this is true, then question will be why IRCC want to start CEC and not FSW.

Ukrainian community in Canada on edge as tensions with Russia escalate

Many fear for safety of friends and family — and are asking Canada to do more against threat of invasion
As tensions mount between Ukraine and Russia, many in Canada's Ukrainian community are watching and worrying about what the crisis means for their country of origin and loved ones living there.
Amid the tensions, there has been a growing movement calling for support from the Canadian government and other Canadians.

In Winnipeg, about 50 people gathered in a churchyard on Sunday to show solidarity with Ukraine. The rally was organized by the Manitoba chapter of the UCC as part of the national organization's #StandWithUkraine campaign.

Among those rallying was Yevgeniya Tatarenko, whose mother lives in Novomykolaivka, in southeastern Ukraine. If the situation worsens, Tatarenko hasn't ruled out trying to bring her mother to Canada as a refugee.

The assumption (or the scenario assumed in that memo) is -- 78000 people will be enough to meet ALL the quota of this year. So, most likely in June they will start with rounds but with small number of invites... like 1000 at a time or so inorder to NOT create a backlog for next year.

ircc won't be pulling in the same No of ITA's as they did in the past, It'd be few ITA's and it won't be biweekly so the CRS stays high. maybe 500 ITA's since they want to accommodate new tr2pr and cec draws. For 2 CEC & 1 pnp draw there would be a single All program draw i guess, only if the fsw draw resume.
