Thank you ma'am for keeping our lives safe and our health pink. You may or may not realize but you are indeed running the world around you. We all saw how things grinded to halt in 2020.

I'm glad to hear the folks who frequented this thread in 2021 have given good advice for you in FSW immigration. But last few months most of those like me who are frequent commentators all we have been doing in this thread is literally being arm chair critics of a varieties of topics - countries (Canada, India, USA, Australia...), Canadian Politicians, poor behaviors of students, Lambdas and other immigration fraudsters. We have hardly shelled out any advice on FSW immigration ;)

Hello, if I want to do a soft landing, how many days should I budget my time in Canada before returning to my home country? It seems that the processing time for a new PR Card is 67 days. Does that mean I need to spend at least 2 months in Canada?

Honestly, no. You do not need to spend this much time in Canada. Actually, you do not even need to apply for a PR card, you can delay that too. Entering in Canada is possible using just signed CoPR (which you will get on your first entry). You need to keep that document safe. Better yet make a copy of it. PR Card is really not a very useful document besides allowing airlines to verify that you are a Canadian PR. Besides that it has very less utility. You passport is enough to establish your identity and your CoPR is your proof of being a PR.

The reason why PR card exists in the first case is to allow airlines etc to verify that you are indeed having a status in Canda. You bypass this by visiting USA and entering Canada by land border.

You can also get a PRTD which is a one time endrosement to let you travel to Canada.

So no need to live in Canada till you get a PR card. You can enter, get your CoPR (which you will get at Point of Entry / Airport) and leave and come back at a later day. Though you will have to bypass travelling restriction by either entering via USA on a land entry point or by getting a PRTD from IRCC. If you have a US B1 visa, rest is easy. If not, you can apply for US B2 visa now. Or you can look into PRTD.

If you indeed apply for PR card, you can give your girlfriend's address in Canada and ask them to forward it you. But issue is, at Canadian border if they check the contents of the envelop, they may destroy it. You can ofcourse ask your friend to hold if for you.

I assume you're on a PGWP, considering you have a canadian post-graduate cert? To get the 10 points for arranged employment I think your job needs to be supported by an LMIA.
Double check the detailed requirements under the "arranged employment" section here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/federal-skilled-workers/six-selection-factors-federal-skilled-workers.html

Yes, it should be passing date of your exam.
