Yes. The mistake was from the immigration officers while producing my babies international passport. Place of birth was spelt Bostwana instead of BOTSWANA
Well, you have to contact them apparently.

They should be able to produce a new passport.

Ontario To Name And Shame Those Who Submit Inaccurate, Incorrect Or Misleading Immigration Applications

https://www.immigration.ca/ontario-to-name-and-shame-those-who-submit-inaccurate-incorrect-or-misleading-immigration-applications

Ontario is to start publishing the names of candidates, employers and representatives penalised for providing inaccurate, incorrect or misleading information to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (ONIP).

From May 3, the names of anyone in the above three groups will be published, where they have had an administrative monetary penalty or banning order imposed against them for contravening the Ontario Immigration Act, 2015, according to an OINP statement.

The Act requires candidates, employers and representatives to provide accurate, correct and ‘not misleading’ information in immigration applications.

“Publishing contraventions of the Act is an important measure to protect the public and further strengthen the integrity of the program,” the OINP statement said.

Possible Penalties

Those found to have contravened the Act face penalties including denial of application, cancellation of approval, prosecution and administrative order.

Administrative orders can include a ban on the candidate, employer or representative from participating in the OINP for up to five years.

An administrative order can also include an Administrative Money Penalty (AMP). AMPs cannot exceed $150,000 for each contravention. They must be paid within 60 days of the order being served.

AMPs are calculated using the following formula:
($2,000 × A × B) + C

A = total number of administrative penalties imposed against the person or body in the previous 10 years (or the number 1 otherwise).

B = number of candidates involved if the contravention involves applications of multiple candidates or bodies (or the number 1 otherwise).

C = monetary amount the candidate or body has received at any time in connection with the contravention.

Holy shit ! This is beautiful.

It has to be a major problem if they decided to go with this policy.

How about shaming and naming VOs like RROC and visa officers like MH26363 who have AGAIN abandoned applications after requesting ADRs and remeds after years of silence. Absolutely cruel and unaccountable govt dept. They 3xpect the best off applicants but bring nothing to the table and deliver the bare minimum

Le Pen being elected, would change immigration for the whole Europe and have a direct impact in Canada aswell. The problem is that she can't seem to be convincing enough in her arguments when competing against Macron face-to-face. I hope this time she has learned from her past and come aboard with a new strategy.

As for Trump, if he decides to run again, he will win by a landslide. There will be no opponent to match him because he fights like he has nothing to lose. Everyone is scared of him. You should watch this speech "Trump roasts Clinton at Al Smith charity dinner", even the priests were sweating there and I am not kidding.

I am absolutely sure that within 10 years Canada will limit a lot the number of immigration because of the technological advancements. They all cry now beacuse baby boomers will retire in 10 years and we need to replace the workforce because the universities are no producing enough, while completely disregarding that technology will make it possible to do more with less in almost every profession.
Technology won’t pay additional taxes. People pay taxes.

Emerging right-wing leaders aim to cut down the amounts paid in taxes (you can listen to Pierre Poilievre if you wanna learn where Canada might go). So western governments will seek less to import people to push tax income up, and look more to produce and sell (export). Also, current eastern immigrants are already multiplying fast enough so the numbers will add up and the need for immigrants will further diminish.

"Taxes" is a statement that went along with the "diversity" bullcrap for the past few decades, allowing many incompatible easterners to flow into the west without any concern for social integration. Well, after all, "diversity" means you get to go to a country whose culture you give absolutely zero fucks about and you get to live just as you did in your home country.

The "but we need tax payers" and "diversity" window will hopefully close in the next 10 years.

Actually, both businesses and people pay taxes. Businesses more, a lot, lot more.

Underground oil exctraction and selling, more than businesseses and people combined.

Technological advancements make it possible for less people with skill to do the same thing and by that their wages keep increasing if the supply is kept in check. If you increase the supply, you would still have the same number of people employed and other same skilled people doing jobs below or different than their qualification.

So if you need 100,000 additional doctors in 10 years to replace the ones that will retire, you actually aim for 70,000 because technology will play its role in evening the other 30,000 within a decade. You see the point I am making.
