Good job you have done here PH. Thanks for taken the time to expantiate and explain to the house the various stages and timelines in the FSW stream of the Canadian Immigration Process, however I find it difficult to believe that while FSW is taking between 1year and 1year plus to get completed, the EE stream takes less than 6 months. Is it that some stages in the process are removed under the EE stream? I am getting confused because I don't know why our FSW takes longer time when the two streams are still under the Canadian Immigration Program. Please explain.

My grouse is not even with EE, if they like let them complete the process in a week. My problem is why should a PH, KOLLINS and other seniors have a similar and reasonable timeline and "ALL OF A SUDDEN" PPR takes over 6 months to get after meds done ( previously 2- 6 weeks). MR does not even seem around d corner. The sudden deviation from the norm is my problem. Is it that they didn't go through the process explained by PH or that we remaining guys are under another fsw program different from our 2014 predecessors.

BTW, as everyone is announcing MR anniversary, today makes is exactly 4 months after I had my meds done. Aluta Comtinua, Victoria ascerta. By Gods grace.

Happy weekend guys.

I love peeping on the Asian guys threads, there's much fine news going on around there, Oga SOTAJ, I dey sight you for that side too o.

Good thing you've done medicals so wen dey decide to answer is direct ppr and visa stamp! My application wil be a year old soon yet no MR! So u see let's just keep hoping and praying though I have a gut feeling that we won't get any updates till January 2016. :-\

Popsicle 2014. Congratulations. You got your visa on my birthday...

I gathered from cic website that the Syrian refugee immigration plan is likely to end by February; may be they had to stop working on fsw because of the cost involved in moving the Syrians to Canada; my thought anyway.

My good people in the house, I greet everyone. I have always been here but silently following all the happenings.

God has favoured my family by overturning the negative decision of the visa officer that reviewed our file and issued a refusa earlier in march as you will all recall.

We engaged the services of a Nigerian lawyer based in Canada and appealed the case.

Great people am glad to say the court ruled in our favour and allowed our appeal. The judgement stated that the decision by the visa was unreasonable and hence our case should be redetermined.

What more can I say but to say thanks to God for giving us a second chance. Please people help me give praise to this our awesome God.

I cannot stop without saying a BIG thank you to this house for all your love counsel, guide and prayers.

Thanks to everyone and to mention a few loofy, Ma Ig, Kollins, GentleAndrew,Pipiss husband, Ennex ,The Jacksons and so many of you, I am truely grateful.

I hope this will encourage someone as God is always there for us.

Hi Peeps,

Finally i don join the Forum after months of just reading peeps comments, some funny, some harsh, some true.....

I have been in Canada since 2012 as a student and only applied for PR 2014 with couple of friends. They applied October while i did November, for all of them they had the option of choosing Ottawa as their VO and in less than 7months they got PR, i guess after October, the form for PR was updated and the honors was on CIC to transfer applicants to any VO hence i have been on "wait list" with AVO, though in the midst of the "paucity" i got MR, and e-cas update to medicals received, which means AVO is working, maybe slow, and its something i can classify as general because even my friends who landed long ago, either had the PR cards come in late or don't have it yet, my conclusion is no one can authoritatively say why the slow process or break down the stages, fine its explicit on the website but its not "etched in stone".

So in all said, i feel the frustration of people waiting, even though i have a valid work permit here, its still painful and i know how it feels to be waiting for something that determines the shot* for so many other moves.

Finally my advice is if you're coming to T.dot, please be prepared to possibly have a change in career, e no rosy as e look..lol
Different provinces, different spikes*...if you coming to T.daot as i said, consider to start training as a BA/BSA and if you are capable i strongly advise BI, that's serious hotcake now.

Please don't mind my french* or grammar construction if you find any error, i just wan encourage people this morning to calm down and no allow anybody dey form Vadam, every go pure my people..cheers

Well fnishing touches are being put in readiness for arrival of selected Syrian refugees. Immigration Minister McCallum reiterated only the most vulnerable families will be selected for admission after rigorous and thorough screening of persons and credentials. They will be screened in Amman, Jordan by the embassy there 'and not' any other VOs. He ststed that Canada remains committed to the security of its territory and citizens while taking in to consideration it's responsibility for humanitarianism.

True talk!
