Forgive me. I will not argue further on the point of Certified or photocopied document, as it will be a never ending argument. I will instead allow CIC to have the "last word". When we see persons getting their CC charged and later on getting PER, we can see whether persons who sent copies are among those receiving such news. :D Then all will be clear. All the best.

Dear Islandbabe,
You will receive PER, I'm hundred percent sure about it. And you'll break this news to all of us.

As someone has quoted on another thread of this forum:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/for-pr-application-all-photocopies-should-be-notarized-t70161.0.html

The 2011 Checklist said the following:

In the New Delhi PR application checklist, it says: "Place all documents in a sealed envelope. Do not send originals unless otherwise stated. Send notarized photocopies of all documents except the police certificates, which must be originals."

This has now been replaced in the 2013 checklist as: "Place all documents in a sealed envelope. If your documents are not in English or French, send a notarized (certified) translation with a copy of the original version."

Since my uncle had applied for PR in 2008 (which he got in 2010), he must have used a checklist similar to the 2011 checklist and therefore he had also strictly advised me to notarize all copies.

Therefore this matter has now been settled 100 percent.

Notarized copies are no longer required for FSWP 2013 since there is nothing in the new Checklist which explicitly says this.

Thanks and regards...

I read (my last post) from pages 179 to page 186 and just realized I wasted all my time.

I wish someone had posted a notice on page 179 to say "...just skip to page 186".

How can an explanation of how translated copies must be certified is taken as a guidance to certify everything?

Did any one send a notarized copy of the original notarized true copy of the notarized copy of original document and the notarized copy of the notary public person that this person is genuinely issuing notarized copies ? Just wondering ::)

:)

UPS is the fastest courier from Singapore to Sydney. You should pick the UPS worldwide express service.

This gives a lesson that instead of solely relying on others advice blindly you should validate the same before passing it on to the world !!
