I had a dream this night about me standing somewhere in CIC office and requesting beautiful CIC girl, sitting at her desk, about CC charges and if it is ok if I did not provided them with 3D password. Will the payment get through?
She told me that it is perfectly ok and they don't need it to take my money.
It was great relief for me to hear her words.

I did not understand at that exact moment though, why I was the only one, among many other people around, standing there, with no clothes but my briefs only.

I am sorry to hear that! Credit card has this risk factor of the transaction not going through due to many reasons. Its is really sad when such a thing happens.

May I know what is the number you called on ?

My mode of payment is also credit card. I was wary of these CC issues. So, I submitted details for 2 Credit Cards with a note that if one fails please charge the other. I am not sure whether that helps or not!

Hello Guys!

For those people whose CC has been charged, may i know if your cards were "3D secure payment" activated ?
....'cause there are some rejections here due to CC payment not going through!

I want to know if anyone has third party online security enabled on his/her card (like "SSL VISA SECURE" or Mastercard 3D secure) which requires a password and the payment still went through ?

My CC has this 3D secure enabled and i am somewhat worried now looking at the rejections due to CC issues

According to my knowledge, 3D secure is NOT needed for the merchant to make a transaction. It is there to avoid your card being used by an unauthorised user (not merchant)!! Besides, CIC will be on the "safe" lists of merchants as it is a governmental organisation. CCs usually fail when the bank feels there is an unusually big transaction being done overseas or your CC limit is too low. To overcome that, you need to give a heads up to the bank and/or increase your credit limit...
