I would advise who are still waiting their acknowledgment, should be calm though its very hard thing to do.

I;m started to get worried .. although I have the UCI no. from previous applying for FSWP but cap was reached .. and this time my CC encashed .. I still dont get any response upon trying to use this UCI to log on CIC website .. do you think there's something is going wrong or i'll get NER .. or some of you his old UCI didnt work untill he received his PER e-mail ... and are yoyu sure that after cc encashment there's no more check ??? plz tell me

Try calling this number - 001 613 944 4000 and when you get through to immigration after selecting English select the option that says you have an application in progress (I think this is 2). Then select option 1 for "Permanent Residence". At this point the automated system will ask you to input your UCI and then, next, your year of birth. If an automated voice then tells you the date your file was received by CIC - we are assuming this means you will be getting your PER soon (the assumption being that when the automated voice speaks to you this is due to the fact your file has been assigned an application number in CICs system [which does not happen until a positive eligibility assessment has been made]). If, instead you are put through to speak to an agent - all this means is that no file number has been assigned yet and you need to wait a bit longer (you could always try speaking to the agent but I stopped bothering with this last week and just hung up as it is clear that the policy is that they should not be disclosing info to us over phone).

I am a 10 May applicant and until today I was being put though to speak to an agent when I followed the above noted steps whereas now the automated voice tells me that my file was received on 10 May.

Thank u so much for ur thoughts but I had never applied earlier for Canada but have travelled to quiet a few countries and also stayed in the U.K for about 5 years.
I would like to ask u whether u can check with ur previous uci the status of ur application.

I already done that few minutes ago and the automated response told me that my file was received on 10th may .. but the agent couldnt tell me any more info althogh i tried to convince her for 5 minutes .. but still my UCI no dont work on the cic website ... does ur uci no give u any info on the CIC website ???
