No SMS yet.. I usually get message when my Cc gets charged. But still will check with bank.. Don't know when will they start charging 2147 .

For the ones with CC charged , can u chhkk with the bank/statement on the exact name of the deductor, as i would want to issue a standing instruction to my cc provider and want it not to be too general, sensing the transition in rules (read chip based cards) expected here in India..

My SMS just informed me that I had got a payment of 1100 in local currency. Then I phoned the credit card hotline and they told me this payment was in Canada. Thus, I temporarily don't know how much in US dollar although I paid via Visa.

Did you say a payment of 1100 in local currency? Please what location is that, if your cash is US dollar denominated, should you be getting a charge of 1100 still? I expect that amount to be less 1100. please can you clarify

they have started charging 2147. this morning one person reported his CC charged and his application was delivered on 9th May.
I dont know whether they have processed 8th May and moved on 9th or they are doing both simultaneously based on the volume.

Either way, few more days and it will be clear.

1998...please see my post...just before you posted this question...highlighting the "processing" process. The Vo will do background check and ask for medical also criminality check will be done. Your points are not relevant anymore as they already qualified you. Read the link, its very useful.

The cc charged/ dd enchased by cic is currently only for application received until 09-may. There are more applicant for NOC 2174 than NOC 1112 in our spreadsheet whose applications was received by cic until 09-may.
Moreover lot of Applicants from NOC 1112 did not add their status on our spreadsheet from the chinese and philippines.

So far that's just one of many life's mysteries...

But, I'm thinking that's either:
- a glitch in the statistics, because the numbers are still pretty small
- because of someone's decision (or lack of organization) CIO started with only DD payments for 1112 (so we'll learn about it a bit later than for CC)
- 1112 applicants on our forum are only a very small fraction of complete number of 1112 applications, on worldwide level (smaller than 2147 or 2174 for example)
- maybe many 1112 applicants were already in Canada and send their apps at 5/4 (Saturday) so it was received at Monday, the 5/6, before any of people here had a chance to deliver
- combination of all the above

But basically I don't have a clue. We'll be MUCH smarter during next week.

True, but that can happen only in the busiest days, which won't (most likely) be the case when it comes to facing the limits.

Good point! But as the limits are quite small this time, I can see a good chance of this happening in coming months.
