>>> Yes, I checked on the funds needed yun ang nilagay ko.. I don't know whatelse I need.. Please help any suggestions? Thanks
1. Are all your IELTS scores above 6.0?
2. Check if you score minimum 67 on the FSWP criteria.
3. Check if the NOC you are applying for and the NOC of your work experience are the same.

Hi everyone!

Newbie here. I've recently finished creating my Express Entry and Job Bank profiles. Does anyone here have tips on finding work in Canada while still in the Philippines? I'm a marketing professional in Manila, but I don't mind working any sort of job as long as I can get into Canada. Need it to improve my score. Is there a more effective way to find employment than online websites such as Job Bank and Monster? Do let me know too if there is a thread in this forum dedicated to the topic. :)

Thanks!

thanks bellaluna for replying

IELTS L: 8
R: 6.5
W: 7
S:7

I'm not sure if I am calculating it right :

language points : 23
Education
>> Canadian high school diploma, 5 points (does it mean I only have 5 points for my ECA for education?) :(

Oh I see, I thought your ECA report was 2-year diploma, given you had 2 local degrees. If your ECA does say secondary only, then yes it's only 5 points in FSWP. I hope you at least have the 2 years of post-secondary study.

my WES assessments says

Canadian equivalency:

Secondary school diploma and diploma (two years)

But I have 2 certificates, can I add 2x5 for that? I think I calculated 65? You think I really need to get my husband an ECA? :(

have you been invited to apply bellaluna?
thanks

I think you can use 2 years of post-secondary study rather than secondary school only. Certificates can't be counted.

If you still haven't reached 67, for the FSWP points, you don't have to get your husband an ECA (but it will add to your CRS points), but your husband's IELTS will also add 5 points to FSWP Adaptability.

Is it better or worse if your husband is the principal applicant?

I don't have an ITA yet, that's why I've applied to PNPs to get the 600 points. :)

- IELTS - scheduled for exam na po ako - Great! God bless and aim for a high score result!
- ECA - do I need to have my credentials assessed by WES also? - Yes, since your spouse can get some points for this. Depends on the outcome of your assessment.
- work experience - do I need to get COEs from my past employers? - no additional points unless you have a Canadian Work Experience. You have the option to declare or not declare this info in Express Entry.

thanks po!

Hi guys.
