Filipino Nurses applying for Quebec

Hi everyone!

Just want to ask if any of you applied through immigration law firm or directly to Quebec government? Actually my sister is presently working as a nurse and wants to apply through immigration agency like Mercan or Canadim but we want to know if we could just apply by our own without passing through the agency. Will it be wise to apply through the agency? Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I personally suggest to submit application on your own. Everything can be found online. Invest in reading. This thread or "Quebec Applicants from the Philippines" thread. There are good exchange of ideas there.

Nurse din po ako, nagapply din po ako s qswp then nakareceived npo ako ng file opening noong february 2013 , masyadong nagaalala ako kasi iniintay ko yung sxhed ng interview ko hanggang ngayon wala pa, ay idea ba kayo anong time frame dpat mareceived and date of interview s embassy kasi until now nagaantay ako at nawawalan n yata ako ng pagasa

hello.. here's my situation..

SSS member na po ako, self-employed but never paid for contributions since then. will i be paying from the start of my membership?

tas, yung sa BIR naman,kasi po volunteer exp lang po ako meron, what form should i feel up po for me to have a certificate of na no taxable income.

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP. SO LOST. :-[

You don't need to pay for SSS just because it is needed to prove legality of experience. Lalabas din naman sa SSS claims kung saan ka na employ nung time na yun. If for whatever reason, hindi nagbayad ng SSS ang employer mo, just make sure you file an affidavit stating the reasons. If volunteer naman, I think hindi siya considered as employment kundi "Work Internships in the context of studies". Just make sure maganda ang declaration niya. Good luck!

Yes you can file on your own. But if you must hire a consultancy, I suggest you hire a Canadian based with Canadian consultants. In my opinion they are much more informed than most of the consultants in the Philippines.

Thanks bosschips! Grabe ang laki ng deperensya. Ang singil ng immigration law firm dito sa montreal around 6,000$. Diba dadaan pa sa federal ang application? Ibig sabihin iba din ang fee? Or ang 757$ ay kabuuang bayad na sa buong application? Bka kasi ako nlng din ang mag paprocess sa papers ng sis ko pra mas mka save kmi.

Thanks boss. Sensya na sa kakulitan ko. Makaapekto ba sa qsw app if the same time mag apply ang sis ko ng work uli abroad. Plano nya kasing mag reaaply abroad habang pina-process ang app nya to canada. Thanks ulit

It's Mid 2014 and I'm still deciding if I should pass my documents so I could get my CSQ. However, I do have a couple of question(ssss) in mind.

But first, a quick background. I've been a nurse for 2 yrs. Started working June 2010 and resigned July 2012 8). Shifted career, and worked in a sales and marketing company for a year . So, question A.) Should I declare my Sales and Marketing job dated September 2013-January 2014?or just the Nursing job I've had? b.) Currently unemployed, so I won't be able to show present pay slips. What will happen then? :-\ and c.) Should I include my high school credentials/diploma?

A. Declare your sales and marketing pero kahit hindi kasing in-detail nang sa nursing
B. You need to prove the legality of your exp especially the nursing one. present SSS claims, tax claims, pay slips, work contracts, etc.

Hi Guys. It no longer works submitting an EXPIRED IELTS. My application was returned today but I resubmitted my papers just today din with updated IELTS. Haiys. wait wait again. Sa letter ko may nakalagay na Reference Number. Question file number ko na ba yun or dapat makahabol yung papel ko sa 6500 na quota? Thanks
