Guys, I have been a bit out of touch off late. I came back to a lot of good news :-) It seems Barsindoo has already landed in Calgary....How's the job market like? Hopw you are going to help us when we land :P nz2ca, rizela, it seems you are in the last leg of your journeys as well. Congrats and best wishes. Wish, my case also gets moving sometime soon. I am just so hopeless at the moment.

cheers September fellows,

nice to see everyone's process going smooth. Congratulations to myluxury, nz2ca and Pasi (looks like buffalo offices if doing good job, good news for garian4u).

hope I might get medical request by the time you guys will be receiving your canadian passports

Guys, how load did you wait for medicals since you submitted you docs to Buffalo?
I'm waiting for 5 months and did not get even confirmaton yet. Do you have any clues of why my case could be delayed?

I dropped them an e-mail an got pretty generic response that I need to wait for 30 weeks before starting worrying O_O

In the reply that you get from Buffalo, take a close look at the Subject line. Does it have a Bxxxxxxx number? If yes, then that should be your file number and you might have somehow missed the acknowledgement e-mail from Buffalo. It cannot be that long. It was taking around 7 weeks to get an AOR during the time you submitted your full application package to Buffalo. Ideally, your File No. would have been created in Mar 2010 and you would have been issued an AOR somewhere in the 2nd or 3rd week of March 2010. Try to give some more details in your next e-mail to Buffalo, so that they can give you a file number.

Subject of the e-mail from Buffalo contained this nubmer B056498960. But that's acrually the bumber I've got from Sydney even before I submitted my application to Buffalo. I'm a bit confused here. Did you guys get similar number from Sydner with your AOR?

Oh yes, everyone of us got a different AOR froM Sydney NS and then another number from Buffalo. But, there is no reason that Buffalo would take more than 4 months to create your File number. So, you must write to them specifically stating that you have submitted your documents to them on < > date and give your Full Name, Date of Birth, Country of Birth, Citizenship, Contact number, etc. You can also put a Case Specific Enquiry, since even Buffalo's website says that they must issue acknowledgement within 20 weeks of receipt. Explore their website, you will get something. I am sure that they don't realize you are asking for File Number rather than enquiring about your processing. http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/index.aspx?lang=eng

Thanks for the support, guys! I sent them another e-mail and they responded me with different file number. Told that my application was pending review.
I logged in to the application status page with the File # from Buffalo and it shows the same status as for Sydney file #. Is it ok?

What's the average time between application submition and medicals request?

I kinda worry that I may miss future corespondance from Buffalo O_O

Don't worry tuxey. You now have your new file number, so you would be able to request communication for them, if you miss anything. Yes, the status will show same with both File numbers....so You are good now.

garian4u, that's good to hear. Thanks, buddy! Do you know what's the average time for Buffalo to get from application submition to medicals request nowadays?
