file has been transferred to local CIC office

Hi Guys,

Did anyone get response from IRCC after the file was transferred and who has submitted application in July Aug 2019 . I am in same situation as well.

Mine is closed (employer specific) work permit extension.

Filed on Aug 5th 2019
Called IRCC in 1st week of december as it exceeded normal processing time and the agent mentioned the file was transferred to local office in Etobicoke.

Anyone knows how long it takes for Local office to process it. It appears that they haven't looked in my application yet. I have ordered GCMS notes and waiting for it right now.

Mine PGWP submitted Aug 23th.
Transferred to CPC Edmonton Dec 2nd.

It seems that there are many people whose file transferred to LOCAL OFFICE and do not get the result yet.
Not sure what is going on here.

If yours approved please share your timeline I will be appreciated.

What exactly are you applying for? mine is PGWP and its almost 10 months processing. file transferred to Edmonton office.

May I ask that are you still waiting? I think your case is over 9months which they said being maximum time.

Hi there, CIC told me the 9 months start from the day the local office received my file so I have to wait for another 2 months.

- My transcript does not show the final graduation however I have a completion of degree letter.

I feel quite awkward. Usually this is enough for graduate students (transcript until the defense + completion letter).

Mine was work permit application applied on September 18 and transferred to local visa on 10th January. Current status is reviewing additional documents and reviewing eligibility.

When did you apply your notes? I applied on Dec 27th still didn't receive it.

Are you currently under implied status? Mine is WP extension so I am under implied status now?

Considering your reason for transfer I believe they will ask you for additional documents or straightaway approve your WP after closer look.

Hi . I am also under implied status. Mine is also WP extension. I was asked for the additional documents by local visa office and currently they are under review. Do you have any idea how long it can take now?

As you have already provided additional documents you just have to wait. You will get your WP soon. Best of luck!!
