Hi guys, I am in slow process of filling all the forms in the website, and I already stumble upon difficulties...

First one and biggest:
As a FSW14 application (Dec 30th) - should I really fill an EE profile, without fear that it may invalidate my FSW application? my immigration counselor that helped me double check and fix the FSW application says no problem with certainty, while I read a few posters here saying it will invalidate a FSW14 application...

2. I started with filling work history for my wife, and I already see a problem - not every NOC is available to select! She currently works as caregiver for elderly, there is no NOc number to match in the selection box.. and that is just the start.
What do you suggest I do about it?

I will post further problems later on as I encounter them...

Thanks everyone that helps!

hi Carmageddon,

1. I don't see why they would invalidate your FSW14 profile if you submit your profile in EE unless you get an Invitation to Apply. Even then, since you dont have a UCI number yet, you will not be able to provide them with one so that they can link your applications.

2. Not sure about this one.

Hope someone is able to answer your question more clearly. But in my opinion filing your EE is harmless.

Thank you, what about this one?

Relatives - I have a slight problem...

When I submitted my FSW14 application, I removed the documents regarding my Uncle in Toronto, as I had enough points without him, and in case the application didn't get through, it wouldn't register on their systems hence leaving PNP options open for me.

This was OK, since I didn't HAVE to claim points for relatives and prove that I have some.
And even if some day I would be asked, I could say I was rushing to prepare documents, and birth certificate translation was not ready in time.

Fast forward to EE: They specifically ask about relatives, without granting any points for those...
I want to keep my options for PNP nomination open.. what should I do? Is it a safe bet to say no? pretend I have none that I know of?
I could easily also claim in the future, that I didn't know I have relatives there, or alternatively that I lost contact with them.. else if I answer yes, it will haunt me with questions for further details in any interview for any PNP program...

Please, advice.. what do you think is best to do?

Can you help me out and tell me why it would be a problem in PNP programs if you have relatives there?

You mean if you have relatives in Nova Scotia then say Ontario PNP programs wont nominate you?

My relatives are in Ontario close to Toronto, this means ALL PNP programs will avoid inviting me like avoiding a fire!

Because they consider having relatives there a high risk factor that the candidate would simply leave to Toronto after landing.

Hey Check out this string.

Apparently, having relatives could fetch you points after you get an ITA. I think its best to be honest and avoid complications later or if you want to leave them out, then dont depend on the scores it may fetch you at a later date.

I have read that thread, thanks... But it is just one guy's thoughts, and no such info from CIC.
I believe still nowhere does it say relatives count after being given an ITA.

I think its a safer bet to leave them out, I could always claim to have found my "long lost relatives" and attach the missing documents... hehe

But for now, its best not to kill chances of PNP nominations.

I have another issue: I read somewhere in this forum, that you only get points for the NOC you apply under, and not for all your experience.
So, if I have stated in my FSW application 1.5 years in 2172, then 1 in 2174 and finally 2 in 2173 - do I really get points only for the NOC I apply under?

If so, which one is best to apply? I assume 2172 with least competition?
Furthermore, what if I were to 'tweak' my resume to have more years in the NOC I apply for? I am afraid they will see it IF my FSW14 application passes through, that the history does not match... ???

What to do...

Yeah, as far as i know, it is true. You only get points for the number of years in your primary occupation.
You could use the 2172 as it least popular amongst the 217* series. If you are eligible and you are able to create your profile in EE using the 1.5 years of experience, I suggest you don't tamper with your resume just yet.

Anyway as of now, all we need is to fill an online form. You may never need EE at all if your FSW app makes it to the cap. Who knows?!

thank you so much bro 8)

I am finishing up my EE profile, but having some difficulties:
  • In the form called "Application/profile details" - I can only pick one NOC? is that the NOC under which I wish to apply? its unclear
  • The list of NOCs is closed, do I only need to write work experience which is one of the listed NOCs? The instructions are practically non existent ???

Yes, Pick the primary NOC under which you want to apply for EE

Your NOC is the 217* series right? They are listed last I checked. If they aren't then try to pick one that is closest to your NOC
[/list]

Thanks for your asnwers again :)

No, what I meant is when listing my previous experiences, there are no NOCs suitable for lower skills experience in that past for example Production Worker.
So do I only list experience I want to count for getting points?

No worries buddy.

In my opinion it is best to list all previous experience. But then I am not sure about what needs to be done if no NOC is listed. Have you tried adding work experience without selecting any NOC? Does it allow you to do that?
If not, then I m sorry, lets wait for someone who has an idea to respond.

Good question, I don't remember for sure if I tried without selecting a NOC, but I think it does not allow...

caregiver is classified as skill level C (not skilled). Spouses get points only for skilled work experience...

Hi Guys ,

Can any one clarify me following doubt about multiple entries for EE profile

1) Actually i have created EE profile with 2172 NOC and later while surfing in internet came to that SINP doesn't have 2172 code in its category. It has 2173 which is relevant to some extent for my profession . so can i create two EE profiles with different NOC ?

2) How to get PNP nomination for EE profiles ?

More appreciated if any one can answer my questions .. plzzzzz
