Same. Complete silence since August 9th, when I was asked to send more documents related to my wedding ceremony and registration. But my local VO is in India and with the recent tensions between India and Canada, I'm not expecting to hear back for while. As long as there are no further issues with my application, I guess I am okay.

Application date: Feb 22, 2023
Request for more docs: March 25, 2023
Docs sent: March 30th, 2023
AOR: June 3rd, 2023
Biometrics request: June 3rd, 2023
Sponsor eligibility passed and file transferred to our Delhi VO: June 5th, 2023
Medical request: June 6th, 2023
Biometrics completed: June 8th, 2023
Medical completed: June 13th, 2023
E-Medical sent: June 16th, 2023
Request for more relationship proof: August 9th, 2023
Relationship proof sent by Lawyer: August 10th, 2023
Acknowledgement of proof docs received: August 10th, 2023

Seems like you did not provide enough information with the initial submission of your application and that could be a cause for the delay in your application, if you would have provided them all the docs and proof initially your application would have been done by now or earlier.

Yeah we took so many pictures of the wedding and reception, and us alone. They have a limit of 20, we sent 50 the first time., in collage form along with our wedding certificate, registration and chat history. Our lawyer had advised us not to send too many as 50 was already too much. But well, looks like what we sent was still not enough for them. Anyway, we had updated pictures together after the initial application, so we sent those as well. Hopefully we hear some news soon

If you have already sent 50 photos and they are not enough proof, then they want proof that's not just pictures.

They specifically asked for more photos of the ceremony & reception though. Anyway, we sent additional documents., like updated chats and a joint account we had opened and also updated them about my pregnancy. Anyway, I haven't heard from them since then, so I don't know what to think anymore.

I just received the pre-arrival services letter. However my status online for eligibility and background still say in progress. My lawyer says its a good sign, but I am anxious. Has anyone received a pre-arrival service letter yet and for those who already did, how long after pre-arrival did you get your PPR? I have been seeing conflicting opinions here and on reddit. Some people say that it is a good sign that a PR is close to approval. Others say that its an automated letter that is sent to everyone regardless of the outcome.

Technically you should get PPR as soon as next week or no later than Feb 2024! but I would not stress too much as long as the application is with in the standard processing time!

Congrats! I'm sure it feels good to be done with this gruesome process. Welcome to Canada in advance.

Firstly - lots of Congrats. These 10 months - must have felt the longest 10 months.....But I hope and wish all is for the good.
And i'm glad that CIC is active and working even in the last week. I thought they'd be already off, enjoying their donuts, maple syrup and hunting moose....

Thank you so much. It has been a frustrating wait, especially since I was asked to submit proof of my relationship and marriage twice, once before the AOR and then again two months after my biometrics. So the break in the silence with my pre-arrival services letter and 12 days later with my PPR was such a relief. They are indeed going quickly now. I didn't expect to hear from them till mid-January at least. Hopefully this is a good sign for those still awaiting news on their application status.

Thanks again & Happy Holidays!!
