Ok guys ..I read this on another thread, the following applicant has Decision Made and from a Visa Exempt country so directly waiting COPR ( similar timeline as ours) -
I am still waiting for CoPR.
Meanwhile, I called CIC twice, but they said this delay was 'standard'.
I also asked help to MP of my area.
MP office transferred CIC's explanation.
"I spoke with the Immigration Minister's office yesterday.
Their explanation was that there is a big backlog in Ottawa where they do the final processing before sending you the landing papers. They said they've added an extra shift to help deal with the backlog but are still not coping with the caseload as well as we might hope.
Currently they are making a decision about whether or not to extend the medical or to ask for a new one. I encouraged them to extend but most cases do result in the client getting an extra medical exam done.
Because of this backlog, they did recommend a renewal of the work permit and told me that I could check back in 30 days for another update."
