We applied in the end of January and our application was transfered to Nairobi in the end of february.

My wife lived in England for more that six months and we know for sure the visa officer in Nairobi will need a police certificate from England. We did not include this certifate in our application as we didn't have it. Now that we have the certificate and our application is not in process yet as per e-case, what is the best way to submit it to the Nairobi Visa Office, Can we send it right now so it can be included in our application or should we wait till they request for it?

What is the best way of sending documents to the Visa Office in Nairobi from Canada, can we send by UPS? We see many people tend to use DHL and we know that UPS is not available in some parts of Kenya.

The best thing to do is to contact the calling centre and explain that you have documents that need to include in your application and they will tell you the best way to do it... I would begin there... If you wait for them to call then you are going to waste time, better to do it now, good that you are aware of it... good luck...

Hi, I have a question. I have contacted the enquery option via CIC website. I was asking if my partner was approved for being a sponsor, and if my files has been transfered to our VO ( manila). they responded to my email.

"This email is in response to your recent inquiry regarding the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class.


Please be advised that this office is not made aware of the progress of applications once they have been sent to the visa office abroad. As a result, we are unable to provide you with an update on the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s)"

no confirmation that we have been approve for SA, nor transferring the files. but i am concerned on the details that they are not made aware about status once they sent out. they are very confusing.

It sounds like you've received SA without being notified. Maybe the letter is in the mail. Try phoning the VO in Manila to see if they've received your file. I think you can use the number on your payment receipt to help them identify your file if you haven't received a UCI number. That might also work to check your application status online.

Check your eCAS. Does it say Decision Made? The sponsor will have to do this. Or ask your lawyer seeing as you assigned a representative to your file.

If you used a representative SA will come to them. Representative should forward results to you. Check with representative.I know my consultant forgot to forward to me until I contacted them.

Looks to me that your sponsorship has been approved, and that the file has been transferred already, but best thing is to call directly to the CIC calling centre, if you provide your receipt number they will be able to locate your file and will let you know the information that is in your file, for example the date that your file was received in Mississauga, the date that your sponsorship was approved and if the file has been sent to your Visa Office.
Good luck... but looks like everything is fine to me... other than the fact that you don't get updated information....

Hi , Yes Ecas says Decision Made ( april 3rd) but until now no mail nor email has been received.
So i guess they sent it over to our VO here in manila.

as per calling the call centre.( i tried but im getting a error message something like im not permitted calling this number)

As per my ecas using application number it says.

medical received. (my medical by the way will expire june 11,) i dont know what is happening.

This is normal. You can't call the call centre from outside Canada. Your eCAS says the exact same thing as the rest of us. Now prepare yourself for many months of waiting. People who submitted their application for Manila last July are just getting their PPR now. Patience

They want me to prove I have never used welfare. How do I do that???

are you the sponsor? i believe your Option C form will prove no welfare. did they ask for a specific year?

I am back! You know what that means!

Lol. I got sponsorship approval today. 28th April 2014. Steler would you please kindly update it on file.

I was so worried due to so much delay. I wonder what was the delay about! Anyway, file is transferred to New Dehli.

Let's see how long it takes for visa office to respond.

They want me to prove I have never used welfare. How do I do that???

again, did you submit your option c form. that is what CIC uses to verify you have not used welfare. you can get them for each year you have completed your taxes. perhaps they are suggesting they want a more current option c form.
