Can anyone advice as to whether or not to go for upfront medical . Here is my situation:
Me and my dependent child would be out of Canada for 5 weeks and my spouse is in home country. I just wanted to have it done before leaving Canada. If we go for upfront here (not sure if upfront can be done outside of Canada) does my spouse too need to have upfront or will he get a medical request? My guess is that Feb applicants may start getting MR by end July or early Aug when we'll be out Canada.

Thanks

Upfront medical is not a good idea.

Feb applicant should start getting MR from Aug mid i believe (depend on current trend)

Hi guys.
I am a late January's,. I received the aor 3 weeks later and now I'm waiting.
A friend of mine received the PR approval a month after the medical exams.
He just have to go to a port entry (such as buffalo) and sign the paper in front of the official!
So happy for him! He called me crying after he read the letter.
This wait is killing me!

MR in august? I don't think so. It will start coming only by September mid.

Looks like CIC is already running a month behind so they have started issuing MR to January people along with December ones. But I think they should start working on Feb 2014 applicants by Late August OR Early September.

I dont see any update in January camp. May just 1 MR from January.its dead slow December guys.

Two of the May applicants claiming that their ecas status shows "In process", how on earth it is possible :o

^ If I were the applicant, I would be very very nervous.

I believe there are some changes in ecas record keeping servers. On or after May 1, 2014 applicants are getting in process on their ecas directly and when they click on in process link the screen shows the same message i.e. "1. we received your application for permanent residence on XXXX date"
