Hey folks,

How many of you are thinking of ordering GCMS notes and when? I'm going to submit my police certificate sometime this week, and thinking of ordering one at some point before September.

Got 1 set of notes 5 months in (few weeks ago)....no changes or interesting notations. May order again in late August or early September.

GCMS notes in simple words is an explanation of what has happened, going on, and is not started with regard to the processing of your file..
from GCMS, you can find out whether you already passed the eligibility criteria, security, criminality etc...
its free to order. but you will receive it after a month...

make sure you select privacy act when filling out the form cuz its free.
The information act will charge $5

Could you maybe provide some detail on the eligibility portion of the notes? Was it done at CIO?

HEY GUYS...COULD ANYONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THE DOCTOR NEED TO SEE THE PASSPORTS IF DOING MEDICAL? I WANTED TO APPLY FOR A RE- ENTRY VISA THIS AUGUST BECAUSE WE ARE GOING FOR A HOLIDAY ( BACK HOME) THIS DECEMBER. BUT I'M AFRAID JUST IN CASE THE MR COMES IN AND WE DON'T HAVE OUR PASSPORTS. DOES THE DOCTOR NEED TO SEE OUR PASSPORTS AS WELL FOR MEDICAL? PLEASE ADVISE. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Some doctors even accept Canadian Driver Licence...
Check with them...

CIO. Notes at the end say about file going to CPPO for ref. letter to be verified / decision.

Ok, so basically, CIO did prescreening, while CPPO makes the final decision. Thanks for the info!

wonder if someone can help me here........my file was received in feb 2013.......I was thinking of getting paid on my brothers incorporation instead of being on payroll. that way I can save about $650-700 per month. do you think it will have any negative effect on my application if I am not taking my current pay on payroll. I think it shouldn't as CEC only counts experience which I do have of more than 2 years from the date the files was recvd in NS.

Yea eh! ;D I'm gonna order another set of GCMS in late August, so I know they attached the documents this time. I'll keep you guys posted....esp if I see anything relevant in the notes.

WOW!! Normally, I'd say thats ridic....but considering all the stuff that went on with FSW, you are lucky its still being considered. Plus, your CEC app will probably come through before the other. Lets hope for some speed when they came back from summer vacations!

Hi CEC2013! I got an update from my FSW application. They asked me to update some forms and send current letter of reference from my employer. I sent it yesterday! most of the applicants that was asked the same updated documments got MR & RPRF after 1 month!! I'm waiting for my GCMS notes maybe this wekkend!! I'm positively hoping for the best!!

Good for you! Glad to hear things are moving along.. I too sent the last of my documents and received confirmation from VO: EM5578 at CPPO. Gonna request notes 1 week from now (thats 2 months from last). Dont expect to see movement, but one can always hope to see some new info on there. Thanks for keeping us posted on your progress. Good luck with the rest of the process. You're almost in the home stretch.
