Funny that my wife has just called them and they said they are opening packages from Oct 10th. Ours is from Oct 15th. Hopefuly our CC will be charged next week and in a few weeks the processing will be done.

In time, does anyone know if the Local VO is obligated to request the FBI PCC for someone who live in US for only 7 months? Considering the amount of time, should they waive it ?

I just wanted to point out that I called up the FBI today, and they said my report was done. This was a Sept 9th application, so they took exactly 3 months. They have not mailed my report, but would do so in the next few days. I will update this thread when I receive it

The FBI received my request on October 8th, and I finally got charged early this morning (Dec. 12th). Based on the information some of you have posted, it seems like I should get the response in 2 months or so... so SLOOOWWW!!!

Not sure how it works on your Visa office but my VO (Singapore) still requested me to submit FBI PCC even though I lived in US for totally less than 5 months. This is weird.

I just got my second FBI fingerprint rejected today...(1st one sent in April and rejected). It says the quality of characteristics is too low to be used...below is the timeline for my second attempt...I had no idea to get this done if FBI kept rejecting my fingerprints...and it's so frustrating after waiting for 3 months to get such a result....I am in Canada by the way...what shall I do...is there anyway to submit digital fingerprints?

This one was received by FBI on August 29
Credit card charged on September 23
Report date November 29
Rejection received on December 10

I do not recall if I did sign on the Payment form or not. I chose to pay using CC for easier tracking. Now I am worried if they would return my pcc app or they would ask for re-sending the payment form. The worst thing is that it take 12 weeks for my application to be opened and reviewed, then to be returned due to missing signature in the payment form. I have just sent another application but still anxious. I have done MR and about to send the RPRF, and now waiting for the pcc to submit. Any advice guys...

The problem with your situation is that if your Payment form is not signed, they will not process it. So they would only process your second application. This means that your priority date is from the second application.

There was a similar problem faced by terkukaiku. After he sent his application, he was told over the phone that they did not get his finger prints. He sent the finger prints in, and asked them to match it with his original application. It seemed to work - he even got his report before me, when he submitted it a day later than me . (See pg 28 of this thread)

One thing you might consider is to send them a signed CC Payment form. Along with it, send the CIC email/correspondence, and a letter pleading them to attach it to your original application. For applications that are not entered into their system, they can pull it up using the Postal tracking. So mention the tracking ID for your original application in this letter. Finally, when your form reaches them, try calling them up with the two tracking numbers and beg them to match the two packages. Some of them will tell you it cannot be done, but then just call up again after sometime and try another person. In my case I managed to attach additional fingerprints to my original application, and the people looking at it could tell me that the additional package was attached. You might want to try this.

Generally the limit is 6 months. So if it is 7 months they may request it. However it all depends on the VO

I'm am very sorry about this. Is it possible for you to travel to the US? You may be able to try to get it done here (US), like in the Police Department. I have heard that some FBI Channelers also do the fingerprinting. While you cannot submit your fingerprints through the Channler, they might be able to give it to you.

I'm curious if you can call up the FBI Call Center and tell them your problem i.e. your finger-prints have been rejected twice. In the old system, sometimes after a few attempts, they simply do a name search and give you the report. Call them up to determine your options. When I was nervous about my fingerprints being accepted, one of the call center people told me that they have problems with fingerprints from people who work in certain occupations e.g. certain kinds of nurses, etc. I unfortunately did not come under those categories.

I'm curious if you did these yourself or had some fingerprint expert do it for you. Please have someone knowledgeable do it if possible. Can the Canadian police help in this matter i.e. with the fingerprinting?

Finally, please consider applying for your State PCCs. They are easier to get, and its better to submit something better than nothing to the CIC.

Sorry to hear about it. Immediately send one more request with multiple prints. Also send a cover letter telling that it has been rejected twice. Attach the letter from CIC which you received and plead to expedite.

Right now what I see that they will not open your request or charge your CC before 2 months and they will take full 3 months to tell if the prints are accepted.

In the mean time gather all the state PCCs which is not tough. It take 2 weeks for them after they receive the request. Some of them like Colorado provide earlier.

Lastly raise a CSE with your VO and explain the situation. Ask them if they will accept state PCCs

My application reached CIC yesterday, now wait starts.. Hope PER should be coming in Feb -March.
I need FBI PCC as well. Can ant one suggest by when i should apply for PCC, so that i can have the same ready when requested by VO?

Also, can any one tell the easiest way to get finger printing done in chennai, india??
