Could you please share their email where you can send query too? How long does it take to get response from them? This is the last thing left for my paperwork...this is driving me insane ::)

liaison @ leo . gov
They usually take 2 days to answer, never had an e-mail without response.
Please share any findings you may get from them please.

Dear friends,

Just called FBI. They are currently processing Oct 21 applications. I asked when should I expect my application (Oct 27) to be processed, the answer was couple of weeks not next week :( Also, I am not sure whether or not fingerprints are readable :(

I am in a fix now. I have to submit additional documents by Mar 15. Should I proceed with other documents and write a cover letter that FBI PCC would be sent later??? Or should I hang on till Mar first week??

Anyone else who has got a delayed response from CPC - Ottawa to their email request for an extension of timeline?

I was replied after 19 days of request date, one day before the original due date. CPC states that their response might take upto 20 days. So NOT to worry, you will hear from them soon.

Anyone has idea do ndvo accept fbi clearance issued 45 days old and the person is still in usa

If the date of the FBI letter is before the date the application was submitted, then it can be no more than 3 months old. If it was issued after the application was submitted, then it can be no more than 1 year old. I have read this somewhere, sorry I don't have the source. It doesn't matter if you are still in the country or not.

By the way, there is no harm in submitting the PCC right away i.e. once you know your file has been transferred to NDVO, why wait.

Finally my background check was received by my friend in USA

App received by FBI Oct 15h
Processed Jan 30th
Mailed out Feb 3rd
Received in Virginia Feb 6th

It is on its way to Brazil, this time by FedEx. Almost U$100,00 but worth of every cent. More than 4 months waiting.

Thanks for each one in this group from the bottom of my heart...you were extremely helpful and supportive.

Congratulations :) What is written on your certificate apart from your name? Do they mention birth date? On my certificate they have mentioned SSN.

CONGRATULATIONS!! Best of luck to you! You really deserve it :) +1 for your good news

Finally, After almost 4 months....my cousin received my FBI PCC in USA.

Recieved by FBI on 16th Oct.

Hi received my FBI PCC. I sent 4 set of prints. Two taken by finger print technician and two taken by me. I had explained in one of my previous posts how to take finger prints by yourself.

Below are the timelines

Application sent from India 22nd Sep. Application received by FBI as per DHL - 30th Sep
App received by FBI ( as per FBI ) 1st Oct
Search completed date 15th Jan
Letter date 15th Jan
Mailed out 20th Jan
Received in India 6th Feb

In the previous FBI report there was a difference between Search completed date and letter date.
But this one I find to be the same. Also they have been the adding the disclosure 'This doesnot preclude furthur criminal History at the State and local level'
The FBI letter is now coming in a big A4 size envelop .
Previously they used a $1.15 stamp and now they are using $2.29 stamp .
It took exactly 3 weeks to come earlier to India. Now it took 2 weeks 4 days to come.

Hope it helps those who are waiting desperately for FBI PCC.

Hi,
Per bank, my DD was charged on Feb4 :). NOC 2172, App received on Dec 10.

Next step is FBI PCC....

Few weeks back friends in the forumn had already helped me on how to get the finger printing done in Chennai, India. Thanks to them, I will get it done this week.
But would like to get few more questions clarified by members in the forum..

Can we get a certified check in USD from India? (Credit card seems risky as it might get denied). I guess certified check is not the same as the DD that we included in the application for FSW.
Can we send DHL/FedEx courier or any restriction that only standard mails will be accepted by FBI?
I plan to give return address of my brother in Texas, so that he can collect and send it to me faster. I hope FBI never mind sending it to a an address which is not mine, correct?

Can somebody share the format you have sent to FBI to checking the status and the email id for the same ? Do we need to mention the SSN or only name will be sufficient.

YOU CAN SEND A CERTIFIED CHECK IN USD

YOU CAN SEND THROUGH ANY COURIER NO ISSUES AT ALL,WHEN THEY WILL MAIL YOU BACK THAT WOULD BE IN USPS MAIL

NO PROBLEM AT ALL... THAT WOULD BE PERFECT

JUST A SUGGESTION THAT PLEASE INCLUDE MULTIPLE COPIES OF FINGERPRINTS TO BE ON THE SAFER SIDE
