For those who have already received the report. Mine was processed on Thursday and they will send this week.
How long does it take between "processed" to "posted" ?

Wonderful, that is great news!!
FBI recieved mine on 17th October, when I called them on last Friday(01/30) they said they are currently processing 15th October.
I had set my address to my friend who recently moved to another address,
He said he did the USPS forward mail to his new address.... And not to worry about the mail not getting received as the USPS automatically forwards all the mail addressed to him from his old address to new.

Change the address with FBI using the email, they update the address on the next day.

You should be charged anytime soon as for the latest posts, they are opening applications close to your date! Good luck, everything is going to be fine to you!

My fingerprints were rejected due to "quality of characteristics being too low to be used". I just sent another set of fingerprints plus a whole new application which is received today (Feb 2) but at the rate of how slow the processing time is I'll likely only get it earliest May!!! I have a feeling it might be rejected again too coz my skin condition on my palms renders my fingerprints barely readable.

I just applied for an Iowa State Criminal History Record Check (processing time only 1 week) since my time in the states has exclusively been in Iowa. Could I use that instead of the FBI Clearance, with a letter from the fingerprinting technician I visited explaining that I have a skin condition which causes poor fingerprints?

I think that the reason you have mentioned is a genuine reason and with supporting document from the fingerprint technician office and document of Criminal History Record Check, it will be certainly acceptable.

Dear forum Members,

I applied for FBI PCC on 6th Oct 2014(FBI received date) ( for self and Spouse).

As per FBI customer care our reports are processed on 23rd Jan 2015.

we are in US only and as per USPS mail it takes 3 days to get it delivered at my address.

Today i again called FBI and he still see same status processed they dont have date when it is posted.

He told me t0 call them again after 3 weeks from Processed date.

Will they send me another copy of report if it would not delivered in 3 weeks or I have to restart the whole process?

Appreciate your views....

Thanks.

You gotta be kidding me.
They said that my report was processed on 29th Oct and should be mailed this week to an american address. I am expecting to get this report in USA by wednesday. Now you're telling me that since 23rd you havent received it and there will be chance of re-applying it in case you dont receive it ? What on earth is going on with those people? Our lives are not games they're playing! C'mon . . .

I really wish you receive your PCC even before you have the chance to read this post . . .

By internal rules they are supposed to mail it within a week of the date of the letter i.e. the date it was printed. From my conversation with one call center guy, they are very serious about that rule. Other than that its just a guess. My report was mailed on the third day after it was printed.

I'm curious if you are in the US? I ask this because you talk about the fingerprint technician. I have no clue how FBI regards about non-US technicians.

If you are in the US though, try to do it in places that have electronic fingerprint scanning. In this case the software gives you an idea about the quality of the print.

I personally have no clue if they would mail you a copy of the report if it is lost in the mail, but I think the call center should be able to tell you.

I know that there are some people answering the phone which are rude. Try calling back after sometime and see if you can get someone more cooperative i.e. to only tell you if their policy is to mail another copy or if they would require you to apply again.

Just called FBI Customer Care. Was told that they are opening packages received on November 10th. Surprisingly I was still asked to call back in a week even though my package reached them on November 6th! CC has not been charged yet!

Thanks! Fingers crossed that this would work.

I did my fingerprinting in Canada. I didn't know what other term to use to refer to these folks who do fingerprinting so I thought "fingerprint technician" should be appropriate haha.

Yes, I went to another agency with electronic fingerprint scanning to redo my prints for my Feb2 submission. But in the meantime, I got a letter from the first agency I went to explaining my skin condition and poor fingerprint quality. Planning to submit that letter together with the Iowa state criminal record check clearance which I should receive next week. Hopefully that would be suffice else I got to wait till May for the FBI Clearance!

Just a quick fire curious question.
For those of us in US, is FBI PCC enough or do we need state police clearance certificate as well?
