Hi all

finally I got my PPR today without the FBI report.. But I gave them state pcc and all the corresponds i had with FBI that they would take 12-14 weeks since i applied for fbi on nov 6th..
i already sent the fbi report from 2013 august so i requested them to consider my case and they actually did .. thanks to Allah ..

hope this info helps to someone who can also send a state pcc and request them nicely..

Just a quick question.
I had applied for the program without FBI PCC and I have received the per email on Dec 29th.

I have just sent my fingerprints to FBI. I am assuming it will take 14-16 weeks to receive the PCC.

Will the visa office give me extra time? How long do they give for the applicants in the similar case?

I think you applied for the FBI PCC in the right time. that's, before they request it.
In general, they give extensions. It doesn't make sense to close files of people for something beyond their control, eh?
How long depends on your personal circumstances. Anyways, I don't think you have to worry about that for now. Let's just wait until you're asked to submit it and given an initial deadline, and then we can discuss your options. Good luck!

Anyone applied for FSW, should apply for FBI PCC immediately irrespective of what stage they are into. Currently there is prolonged delay, you never know when you will get the report after your application, currently the processing time is 16-18 weeks.

16-18 weeks?! Says who?! It's still 14-16 and let's pray it doesn't go further than that.

I sent a request to extend my deadline but I have not heard anything from NDVO. Do you know how long will it take for them to reply?

It usually take several days before they get back to you. Don't worry, they'll inform you before the due date of the report. Good luck!

Please anyone guess the shipment date for a 15th october applicant ? Credit Card charged on Dec 23rd.
My deadline at SPVO is Feb 15th, should I request an extension? Will I make it on time?

It's hard to tell whether you're gonna make it on time or not, giving the constantly changing estimates of the processing time.
However, I can give you the advice on requesting an extension; don't rush into asking for one right now.
For example, my deadline is Jan. 30th. If the report doesn't reach my friend in the US by say, the 26th, I'll ask for an extension, but not before that!

FBI PCC - Update

Update on my FBI PCC -

Sep 30th applicant, CC chargd on Nov 05' 14; just got to know that the request was completed yesterday and the cards were NOT legible. Will have to re-do this entire process and there is NO WAY this can be expedited -( Feeling gutted right now....this is absolutely disgusting !!! Have already requested for an extension to CIC and not even sure if anymore will be granted based on this recent update!!!

(P.S - Got the fingerprints from an agency to eliminate the risk of not being accepted).

Sorry to hear - similar story here. I sent in my prints in August trying to be ahead of the curve. Received letter stating that prints are not legible. Surprisingly, I had them done at a US PD. Had to send in another set in November and am currently waiting.

Some applicants have been able to send in state PCCs with the letter from FBI stating that the prints were not legible. Depending on where you are in your application process, you might want to give it a shot and contact CIC.

Hello my friend..do not loose hope.
There is a scenario in here where a guy submitted his 2013 FBI Police Certificate along with his current state certificate and explained that it is taking over 14 weeks for FBI to process requests. He requested them to consider the state certificate and guess what, CPC accepted it and he just received his PPR on Jan 12th.
Also, this solely depends on the officer dealing with your case, but worth a shot. I would recommend attaching a letter from FBI showing that you made complete effort, but the prints were rejected.

I am not sure how they will pursue this, having said that I do have my report from 2013 but I highly doubt that they will consider that!

Unfortunately there is no way to know this. You will only find out once the FBI mails the report back to you.

@rambojuda: Thanks Buddy - I am just trying to get hold of the state PCC and getting new fingerprints for FBI tomm....will try consolidating these new docs and send it to CIC.....not sure of how and what will they respond ??? Still keeping my hopes alive.....

you have a fair chance like i had .. I had 2013 fbi report plus gave them state pcc and all the corresponds of fbi .. in your case you should clearly tell them it will take another 12-14 weeks..

you better hurry and send state pcc and a nice elaborate cover letter you may get accepted like me ..
