chef,

You must have indicated in your fingerprinting card, "Canadian Immigration" under Reason fingerprinted. That should be good enough. As you can order FBI PCC for personal review as well, so it doesn't matter whether you indicate any separate evidence or not. However, if it was an expedite request for a definite date, then it would be important to indicate the reason in the Cover Letter as well as outside of the envelope and then put in any supporting eveidence that you can. In any case, putting any evidence is your choice and not mandatory at all.

For what it's worth, I submitted my FBI request to West Virigina on January 18th, my credit card was charged on March 18th and we got the clearance certificate on Friday March 26th. I didn't specify anything special on the envelope or the request. It was uncomplicated as I am in the US. Now if I can only get the letter from Sydney to submit the full application, that's now been 71 days without a peep.

This indicates that the workload for FBI seems to have eased up, as now normal request is being serviced in 9.5 weeks. This used to be easily 14-16 weeks.

Hi All,

I really need a good advice on this :

I sent my initial application to FBI on 16th NOV 2009 . On 23 Jan 2010 they replied and requested another set of fingerprints . They did sent me the finger print card with my file no. in and I did filled -up the form and sent them the finerprints however, I think I made a mistake in filling -up the card.. I wrote my name where it was written "Sign" later when I realized , I signed next to it.
I am not sure if they will except that or not. They received my new set of fingerprints on 12 feb but till now they have not added me in the system ....

I am now thinking to send a new application with new finger prints, in case they reject my current one . SO is it possible if I send another one while first one is in proccess .
I have already send my full application to ND.

The following is from FBI web site:
http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/faqs.html

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the processing time?

Approximately 13 weeks for processing, upon receipt to the FBI.

2. Do you have procedures for expeditious handling?

The CJIS Division does not expedite requests.
I sent my FBI request (from Canada) the first week in December, and requested expedite. After 13+ weeks I received the response back saying the quality was too low. The FBI web site says they do NOT honor expedite request. So if you get yours sooner, you must be special, or know something we don't.

Hi All,

my application is already in proccess in FBI and its been 8 weeks... this is a re-send of the fingerprints.

I am now going to add another application in case they come up with a new mistake in my first application.
Please let me know how do I specify the "expedite" proccess for the second application

thanks,

It took me 8 weeks to get the clearances back and I got them this Feb. For those who are frustrated hang in there! You cannot get them to move any faster trust me I tried.

hello All,

I just want to share with you.
I called FBI and they told me my request has been processed and it will be in the mail this Friday 04/2.
FBI received my request on 02/04.
So it is roughly 8 weeks. I paid with Money Order and I currently reside in USA.

Thanks..
