Yes, the earlier the better...because such things mostly take time especially with past employers.resu said:I have a question. When should I start for my reference letters ? After getting the ITA or I can get them before as well.?
If I get the reference letters before the ITA is given to me , will it be accepted. As far as I know, they don't have an expiry date.
Anyone with prior letters faced any issue?
Thanks for the prompt reply.CanadaWeCome said:Yes, the earlier the better...because such things mostly take time especially with past employers.
I dont think there is no rule on this.CanadaWeCome said:Yes, the earlier the better...because such things mostly take time especially with past employers.
Yes, there is no rule for the current, but for past employers however old but as long as the letter is post your relieving date it's fine.TanakaM said:I dont think there is no rule on this.
I would get letter from past employers as soon as possible (before ITA), then tell my current employer that i will need a letter after ITA. This will mean the letter from you current employer will be recent when you submit your application.

Yes , I am trying that. Also I will ask my current company to give me a reference letter post ITA.CanadaWeCome said:Yes, there is no rule for the current, but for past employers however old but as long as the letter is post your relieving date it's fine.
Yes, if it is post your min. No. of months/years required in your primary NOC (for MEC) for the employment.DeepDee said:Hi!
Do you mean reference letter issued by current employer in today's date can be used 6 months later in 2017?
Thanks
No issues even if it's prior to you getting ITA as long as you fulfill the MEC criterion for employment for your primary NOC.resu said:Yes , I am trying that. Also I will ask my current company to give me a reference letter post ITA.

Although nobody knows what kind of queuing system IRCC follows, but presumable and ideally it starts as soon as you get AOR. But both you and me know very well that it may not be a few days or weeks before the file is actually picked up by an officer, but surely not 90 days.resu said:Thanks.
Another question, After submission of ITA, does processing start immediately or it starts normally after 90 days?
