Express Entry Step by step instructions.

I have few questions, please help

My Profile :
Age : 35
Education : BE Mechanical
Non Canada Experience : 12 years in IT (non Mechanical)
Current Role : IT Project Manager/IT Program Manager
Designation : Associate Project Manager
IELTS : S-7.5, W-6.5, R-9, L-7
WES : Done
Canada Exp: Though I have 1 years exp but this is not continuous.. I guess this is not valid.
Points : 350+


Question 1 : Which NOC code I need to select ? is it going to software engineer (Skill Level A — professional jobs) or project manager (Skill Type 0 – management jobs)? I want to choose a job code which has highest quota so there is a maximum possibility of getting the ITA.

My Wife's Profile:

Age : 28
Education : BE (Bio Medical) . Pursuing M.E (Bio Medical instrumentation) will be completed in next 3 months.
Non Canadian Experience : 4 years (but this is non bio medical, this was in Business development (e learning space)
IELTS : S-8,R-7,W-7.5,L-7.5
points : 400+

Question 2 : Wife has experience in different domain (business development in e learning ) than her degree (bio medical) is it going to be a issue, Is she eligible?

Question 3 : I am currently applying myself as principal applicant but once my wife's P.G is over want to make her as principal applicant. For business development Lead, are there any better opportunities ? Once I know it is better to go with my wife as principal applicant will ask her to re take IELTS and apply for WES. Please suggest

Question 4. If a person has degree as well as masters then WES is going to charge $1000 or still within $500 they will evaluate degree and masters both ? Please suggest.


Question 5. is she eligible for PNP ?

In my case (Pune UNiv) the transcripts will be sent to me by post. i do not know yet if it will have a university seal or not, even if there is , can i not even open the envelope to see what has the university sent back?? what if theres a goof up and I send it forward directly to WES ! ?

Q2 . I am currently engaged and plan to get married in JAN 2016. I will be submitting my profile post my IELTS in september, how ill this change things for me.. If I get an ITA before Jan what do i do????

Q3. My doubt is.. lets assume i get an invitation for PR and lets say I accept it and wait till i get a job to really go.. is there a cutoff for me to enter the country? like I HAVE TO enter within 30 days or 60 days and if i fail to do so the offer expires?

My fear is to go to canada , spend all my life savings surviving while trying to get a job and ending up with an empty bank account and no job! Its a scary thought !

Ans : WES don't need original documents , if yo sent original they will discard it eventually so you must send them copies. For this you must go to INDIA HEC Office , attest your original documents along with copies and ask them I need to send the copies to WES so they will stamp the big envelope and you can use that stamped envelope. Only insert attested copies into that envelope.
Search for HEC in India in Google and hopefully you will get some results.

DOUBLES please correct me if I'm wrong because DoubleS is the experienced guy here and he is the GURU.

You can not submit before IELTS and after IELTS you will make Express Entry Profile for single and this will take Year or so to get ITA if your score is not better. If you will create EE along with your spouse (if spouse completed IELTS and complete her WES) , you will get an ITA within a 6 months or so.

You can refuse ITA if you think their is some change in your status and information you have already provided in the Express Entry Profile.

Well , This is the RISK you must have to take a step , and by my guess there are plenty of jobs like store keeping , helper and these type of jobs so this won't be any issue , You won't be successful if you won't fight with your FEAR.

This is a quote from WES' website:
"If the document is given to you to forward to WES, it must be attested & dated and placed in an official sealed envelope that is signed or stamped across the back flap by the appropriate authentication officer at the university or autonomous college that conducted the examination. If the envelope has been opened or there is no stamp or signature across the back flap, the document will not be accepted by WES."
So to answer your question, no you should not open the envelope

If you get an ITA before Your wedding, and you choose to accept it, you will be submitting your application as a single applicant. If you wedding happens befor your application is finalized you can send in a CSE informing them of your wedding. They will give you further instructions. However, if your application is finalized before your wedding, you would have to file for your wife through "spousal sponsorship"

When you are approved for PR, you are usually given 1 year from the date of your medical to enter Canada. That will be the expiry date of your immigrant visa.

It's a risk, and only you and your family can decide whether to go on this journey or not.

Question regarding the EE profile

Dear Friends,

I am a Ph.D. student living in Winnipeg. I am in the process of creating an Express Entry (EE) profile. I have few questions.

Q1: I have completed B.Sc.Eng. and M.Sc.Eng. degrees. Now pursuing a Ph.D. degree. In EE profile under 'Study and Languages' should I include my current study as well?

Q2: I have one year (continuous full-time) work experience and also I am currently working as a Research Assistant (NOC 4012). Can I add my current occupation to the work experience tab in EE?

No consultancy can confirm your PR for you. It depends on what you bring to the table. Some people use consultants because they find it easier to pay for someone to tell them what documents to procure and what process to follow. And that's what you get by paying a consultant. Don't expect anything else. If you're fundamentally ineligible or fall short of cutoff score, no consultant on the planet can make you eligible or get you an ITA.
