Hi All,

I'm Vidya. I'm waiting for my ECA report to file an Express Entry profile.
My NOC would be 2173(S/w engineers and designers).

Can any one let me know the processing time for PNP like Sasketchwan, New Brunswik, etc...

Is it a god idea to go with PNPs?

It's a good idea to go with PNP if your score is low and you don't think you'll have a chance to get a direct ITA. Otherwise go for ITA and forget about PNP as it will add siginificant time and heartache to your journey!

My PNP was OINP and it took 10 months (which was quick as there are people who waited 14 months).

Hi everyone.

Can someone please answer these queries for me:

1) My wife's surname is missing from our marriage certificate. Only her first name was printed on the certificate. Could that be an issue at a later stage after getting an ITA? Any other document which I can show to prove the relation? like Passport being endorsed with the spouse's name Or any affidavit?

2) Is it OK to have different addresses on passports of husband and wife? Parents and child?

Thanks
Brijesh

Hi Friends,

Me and my spouse applied for extension of Work Permit three moths before, we got ITA in January. Two days before we got update from Immigration department that our WP application are approved. We are ready to submit EE application, we even didnt received the WP document yet.

Now my question is can we submit the PR application without applying for New TRV?
Can we stop applying for New TRV till we get PR?

Hi There,

Thank you for creating this thread.

I’ve created a profile which was "eligible". I have a positive LMAI and now i'm in Canada since 3 weeks(only) and when i tried updating my profile it instantaneously says i'm in eligible however i'm not sure where i'm going wrong. Would appreciate some advise/guidance.

Immigration program (FSW, CEC, FST): FSW
LMIA-approved job offer (Yes / No): Yes

Language test taken (for IELTS, indicate whether general or academic):IELTS (don't know french)
Date of language test results: 4th Aug 2016
Score Listening: 8.0
Score Reading: 7.5
Score Writing: 6.5
Score Speaking: 8.5

Proof of funds (C$): $30000 - $35000
# of family members (you + spouse + kids): wife

Your highest degree: Masters in science
Canada or foreign? foreign
Do you have an ECA for this? yes

The longest period of continuous foreign work experience in one NOC in the last 10 years:
3 years & 6 months as VFX Production Manager from March 2012 - Sept 2015.
Number of hours per week: 40
NOC Code: 0512
i'm in canada for the last 3 weeks & working for a visual effects company as a producer (Since Jan 2016, I've been employed as a freelance producer my NOC code is 5131)

Sum of Canadian work experience in the last 3 years: less than one year
Number of hours per week: 40
NOC Code(s): 5131

What is your FSW score (for FSW applicants only): I'm not sure of the points as there isn't a clear indication of exactly how much one makes unless i've missed this.

Really appreciate all the advise & thanks in advance.

What's your score on the six factors? Do you get over 67 (out 100)? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

What's your age?

The only POSSIBLE problem I see with what you've given is your AGE (whcih is unknown) and different NOCs you've put down for you Foreign experience and Canada experience (CWE). But you'd be putting no CWE so that's probably not it!

Thanks g126. i'm 35 years old. Also my canadian work experience only started mid jan 2017 - does this count?

Hey there...

So no, you CWE (Canadian WE) will only start counting mid Jan 2018.

So you get 79 points on the six factors, that's not a problem.

You know there has been many problems/bugs with INELIGIBILITY since their big change mid November. You case is probably a glitch. Open a technical case on the IRCC website saying you're FSW with Six Factor score for of 79 and a CRS score of 431 and even with PoF of +30k you're INELIGIBLE, which must be a system glitch. Good luck!

Thanks! Maybe before i raise a technical case ill try and apply without claiming CWE; cause i filled out ' less than one year". Hope it'll go thru then... will keep you posted

Also for this ques - 'Has MYNAME applied to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada before?' - should my answer be yes/no? I've filled out the EE form and had it ineligible 3 times and this is my 4th go at it.

Thanks in advance.

It should be no, EE profiles don't count towards application. If you have filed a PR application previously then it should be "Yes"

Hello everyone, I am looking for an expert advice. I am working in Canada for past 4 years on a closed (ICT) work permit and my current work permit is valid till Dec 2017. When I requested my employer to provide the provisional offer letter for 1 year they had refused to provide it as it is against company policy. However, I have an offer letter from my current employer which was provided to me while coming here (in 2012) and the duration is indeterminate. Can someone please tell me if I am eligible to claim 50 points with this offer letter and LOE?

Short answer, nobody knows.

Long answer, we don't know yet (due to Nov 19th changes) how strict the officers will be when assessing if any applicant does have a valid job offer. Nobody in this forum can guarantee that what you'll provide is good enough if you're not following the guidelines when providing a valid job offer.
