My Post graduate work permit expired and I applied for bridge open work permit. When I applied the processing time was 40 days, but now it has gone up to 70 days and still a while before my application is processed.

Count me in !!! Nov 2 AOR, EE PNP, BG in progress since May 4. Fingers crossed. Visa Office replied CSE that additional background checks were required on my file , don't have any idea what these additional background checks are. just have travel history to Malaysia and USA. Now ordered GCMS notes, hopefully situation would be more clearer once i receive notes.
Meanwhile may be anyone got some idea about additional background check ???

Eligibility and criminality is passed. Security is blank. now ordered GCMS notes to see if this changed.

I traveled to Malaysia and USA too. Maybe that is one the reasons it is red-flagging. My passport is Pakistani and I go there often too.

Additional background check, may be security screening, don't know much, may be travel history, it's just a guess work. really mind boggling.
