I know might be this question is weird but why people are so exited after Medical passed, Background: In progress, what does it mean?

well it means that your application is updating and moving ahead. Those updates are good signs of the application being complete and closer to the PPR stage.

Hi guys,

I got two different document requests one on 17th Jan and one on 23rd Jan, but I believe both are same

1. RCMP Criminal Record Check
2. RCMP FINGERPRINTS REQUESTED

There are two slots opened in my application. Should I upload same document in both slots? Anybody else in the same situation? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

finally PPR mail, came yesterday evening Canada time (23rd Jan) and i just saw it first thing when i woke up :)

Question : I am from a VISA exempt country, i dont see any places activated on cic website to upload passports....anyone from visa exempt country who got PPR and can guide ( may be i am looking on wrong screens)

thanks guys, this forum has been of great help and without it i wouldnt have managed to file my own application. It has been a long ride, 5 years in Canada then had to leave as LMIA got rejected and then this whole EE cycle with scores keeping high up since i made EE profile. I hope things would improve from here and we settle fast when we go back....the mail has yet not sunk in :)

All the best for other applicants, i am sure your PPRs are coming very soon.
Congrats antimaniac, wish you the best of Luck.

As per my knowledge:
1) RCMP Criminal Record Check also includes a full electronic set of fingerprints on form C-216C taken by one of the accredited companies, your application form along with your ID proof is sent to RCMP for clearance check and then you get a Certificate from RCMP in your mail.
2) Whereas RCMP Fingerprints request is done by these accredited companies and you receive a copy of your fingerprints at the accredited company's office (you need to request a copy of fingerprints when you go for your Criminal Records Check they will print it off for you).

I received a copy of fingerprints as well when I got my RCMP Criminal Records Check done but only uploaded the Certificate which I received in my mail.

For the Ones who have GCMS, and have s16(1)(c) on the right corner: Pls Read the below thread

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/vital-information-about-caips-gcms-notes-t109332.0.html

I have s.22(1)(b). Any idea what that is?

Also guys, I believe France is a visa waived country since we required the ETA to travel to Canada, so this means i gotta send the copies of my passport but there is no placeholder for me to upload my documents, is that normal? Does it mean I should just mail the photocopies along with the pictures or should i raise a ticket? Thanks so much again for all your help everyone !

congrats for PPR, and seems we are in same situation...i also do not see a placeholder for me to upload my documents. I have created a ticket, but based on my previous experience a ticket can take weeks before someone responds.

Nothing in "View submitted application" section?

Hey everyone, I am a November applicant and have been following this thread closely. I used an immigration consultant so I don't have access to my application but today I received the PPR! Below is all the information I have, for those keeping track.

Thank you for your valuable input, and I wish you all the best of luck.

CEC inland applicant with common law partner, both with PGWP, no PNP.

ITA - September 7, 2016
AOR - November 4, 2016
Request from IRCC regarding travel history - January 13, 2017 (The consultant asked me to provide any travels after the application was submitted and details of any one-day trips to the USA)
PPR - January 24, 2017

unfortunately nothing...

Same here, i logged out and everything as well, i read on another thread dated from 2012 that for visa waived country all we need to do is send the photos along with the photocopies of the passport by mail, can someone verify if this is true, was this just before EE was introduced since it was 2012 and 2015 or does it still stand true to this day? I might call the paris visa office tomorrow to ask them in person or cic to just triple check.
