how do u request GCMS and at what site? and how long does it take to get the result notes?

I requested GCMS notes and these notes are at the end of the 128 file document

Do you mean to say it takes 30 days to get the access or information is only available for next 30 days?

They generate the report on the same day as you submit the request but email it after 30 days.
No matter how weird it sounds but that how they do their thing here....lol

so e.g. I asked for it on 19th May and got my report on 17th June(I can see in the report that report was generated on 19th May itself but for some reason they would email it after 30 days)

Thanks for getting back to me.
So mine says something like this in the Notes: 1 (which is the latest one on 14th May):
Application sent for R-10 Review Documents set for Review: Police Certificates Client Information Education diplomas/degrees Language test has been verified against appropriate website No Rep: Please Note the required docs for the dependent children are under the Client Information with rec'd date of 2015/05/14.

wow thats way too long than i anticipated.. i thought it would only take them like 3-5 days to give u the info..ehe

A small (really small) update on my PPR situation: I emailed my country's VO, asking them if I could send my passport to their office instead of Ottawa. Their reply was quick, but didn't change anything: "Please follow the instructions sent to you and contact CPC-Ottawa so that they make arrangements to print visas in a different office".

A small and insignificant update from my side.. I called CIC helpcentre regarding hearing back from CPC CTD Ottawa office.. they said I need to wait for their revert..

Yes. CIC will generate your GCMS notes the same day you send the request but will be sent to you in about a month.

Thanks for the update. The situation is really irritating. The worst thing is that there isn't even an indication of when we can expect a reply.
P.S. "revert" - you probably meant reply?

Does anyone know what could be the actual status as per my ECAS below (just 2 lines) :

ECAS status : Application Received

1. We received your application for permanent residence on March 20, 2015.
2. Medical results have been received.

Also myCIC shows:

ITA:16th feb
Application submitted with all docs and first AOR under CEC: 20 March
Medicals Passed : 5 May (ECAS showed above 2 lines since 5th may)
BG in progress: since 5 May

your insight would be really helpful. please suggest..

Don't worry you're good. They will update the with teh other line when they actually start processing your application. Say, if they start processing your application on Jun 22, 2015, then your ECAS status changes to In Process and with the additional line added to it saying..."We started processing your application on June 22, 2015" and in a few days your will receive PPR (or RPRF if not paid before or a SCH-A request if there were any gaps and might delay few more days). Bottomline is that you are good and keep fingers crossed. Wish you Good Luck to you and to those all here like in your case!!

i previously wrote the text below some days back. I think you guys should consider that option. your 30days are already running.


hello guys. congrats on your PPR once again.

I am just of the opinion that what if u have a family/relative in Canada.

Since they cant return your passports to an address outside Canada, how about you send your passport and all documents needed through a courier to your relative. Once received, your relative sends your passport to ottawa from inside canada with a return address to his/her place.

once passport is received by relative, it is sent back through courier to you.

Isn't that another approach?
