this is what they told me too, and they advised that I should translate them at the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Health (safest), but I read on the forum that some people used private translators (risky); kepp in mind in either cases you will need to submit both the translated doc and the arabic original regardless what way you translate the certificates

Hello Dear Egyptians

Here is the rules for translation

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/cit/admin/general/translation.asp

unless you know the translator has license and accredited , don't take the risk and go for official translation

Thanks bro ,do you have any idea what papers are required in order to issue english birth certifcates and marriage certificates

As much as i know , because my father did this part for me , you only need the original birth certificate and Marriage certificate. The translation of birth cert. is done Ministry of Health , and translation of Marriage certificate is done in Ministry of Justice

The most important is translation of police certificate , do it in Ministry of Justice

I didn't take the risk as I said, I translated everything at the government

My documents:
1. Police Certificate reached me through Egyptian Embassy in Montreal. It was stamped with a translation and the signature of the ambassador on the translation.

2. Birth Certificate in English through the Egyptian Health Ministry in Tahrir.
