  • Proof that you have the funds to support yourself and your family after you arrive in Canada.
Both FSW and PNP applicants will require proof of funds while landing. Not everyone may be asked for that info but that is something they can ask. They are able to deny your entry due to the absence of this document.

Cash and proof of funds are 2 different things. You don't have to carry actual cash with you but you have to be able to have proof that you have funds available to you when asked to the tune of whatever is on the CIC website. That is pretty clear on all immigration literature

Yes, there is a way :) In your MyCIC, you click to "Link my application", then you choose Permanent Residency Card and then you follow the instructions :))
Thanks so much. That helped

Thanx for above link its really helpfull.

Other thing is, it is mentioned there that we have to reveal at airport if we have more than 10,000 cad dollar.
Will they deduct some money if we carry more than mentioned amount?

Secondly, do i have to show all the amount as shown in my bank statement at post ita stage?

Hey guys,,,,My background check changed from N/A to "We are processing your background check". Is this the famous IP2? Do you know how long it usually takes from this point until the decision is made? Thank you!!!

Do you think they finished your security screening?

Can you please tell me on what number you called? Its been over 250 days since AOR for me. The number listed on their website is 888-242-2100 but I think it works only when you're in Canada.
Thank you very much for all your help.

Thank you. I tried calling that number actually couple of days back and select option (1,1,1) for Immigration, Visa services etc and call was re routed to CIC. Then got a message that the number is not available from my calling area. I called from outside Canada using my cell.
Do I need to change my location or something in Hangouts to make the call?

Thank you very much..

No it’s straightforward, didn’t have to change anything.
