You don't need a transit visa if you are not going to physically leave the airport while in Amsterdam. If for any reason KLM has to move you to hotel (missed flight, etc.) they will arrange the visa for you there, no need for you to do anything in advance.

Hi Seniors,

Does anyone have an experience of filling their case in Pakistan (LVO) and then moving to Dubai?

I had to go to Karachi to get my meds done and don't think it would be convenient if I need to take time off from work to sit their once I get PPR2.

I wanted to know if I can request LVO and submit my PP in Abu Dhabi instead or send them directly to LVO?

Expert advise appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Anyone going to Canada in the coming days?

If you are based in Dubai , you can do your medical here in Dubai and can submit your PP directly to LVO. You just need to inform LVO that you are now shifted to Dubai and they will send you PPR instead of PPR1 & PPR2

Thanks Shahji,

I have already done the medicals in Karachi.

Does sending the passport to LVO directly delay the process?

Dear Seniors,

while preparing the list of good that i will take with me and the list of goods to follow i was confused in many issues:
for the B4 forms the no. of slots is 8 only but the items to take with me are more than 8 so what i should do?to fill another B4 form or list down the rest of the items in the B4a form without ticking the box of (goods to follow)?
and the same for the goods to follow only i need to fill B4a(with ticking the box at the above of the page) ?and if the no.of item exceed the no. of slots should i fill another form regardless the sequence of the items. so each form will start from from no. 1 to 26 ??
the last question regarding this issue is, if the item enter with me during landing and listed in the form of goods with me should i list this item again in the form of goods to follow in case i am not come permanently?? or only one time ?

another confusing issue regarding POF: we are 4 persons to make landing and the amount of money we should carry is 21000 CAD. i decide to take 17000 demand draft and rest cash.is there any problem to put this demand draft under my name even if exceeding the 10000 dollar which they allow me to carry ??
can i divide the draft into 2 drafts one with 9000 for me and the other 8000 under my wife name and the cash with kids :D ;D :D ;D? or keep it 17000 demand draft and 4000 cash ?

thanks in advance and regards,

hi I am planning to land second week of October. I have query can anyone help me. After landing I will staying only week there and coming back to dubai. Is it okay to leave Canada in week time after landing?

As far as I know there is no problem. Some people from US even land for few minutes and go back by road in their cars after completing the landing.

There is a catch though. PR card usually takes 70 to 80 days to arrive at the Canadian address which you will provide at the date of landing. In case for any reason whatsoever you do not receive your PR card (usually issues with photographs) then you have a problem to re-enter Canada. You will have to apply for a travel document from Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi within 12 months and make your permanent landing. This is what I understand from reading on this forum and other seniors can guide you further.

Hello Swapno

Without PR card you have to take "travel document" from CHC to re-enter Canada.

Carefully read the following link:

It will not delay but speed up the process as there is only one step PPR instead of PPR1 & PPR2

Dear QORAX and others,

I am truly hoping to get some expert advise if as an expat in UAE, I am allowed to submit a TRV application in my COUNRTY OF CITIZENSHIP instead in my current country of residence where I am presently living and working (UAE).

An expert opinion will be much appreciated.

Thank you!
