Hi everyone

Got passport request today .

Had a doubt, have to fill in the updated information chart. The given name mentioned in my passport is my surname and in the surname section , the word surname is striked off and my given name is written. Basically, I feel the guy just wrote my name in one flow and striked off the surname for his own convenience, looks like that .

I had sent an email to LVO and told them that my first n last names were switched , so they corrected that.

Now when I fill in this information chart should I stick to my actual given name and last name or how it is in the passport coz they have mentioned in the form that write the names as mentioned in the passport exactly.

What to do ???
Also as what I know, there is no need to send the old or expired passport , right?

Fill the UIC with the corrected name... ur 'actual' name first in the 'given name' field & ur 'actual' surname in the 'last name' field.

can anyone please help me with this?

Sent a CSE 2 days ago, 6.5 weeks after Meds & RPRF were received at LVO. Got a short reply from my IO yesterday saying: '... Medicals for one member of your family is awaited to be assessed'.

Wondering what it means! Do they not check the whole set of meds attached to one app altogether?

U r unnecessarily contacting ur IO now.
It usually takes 3-5 months to get PPR after the meds submission. Thus before 4-months [16-weeks] one shouldn't be getting impatient. That response to u from ur IO is just a 'curt reply'... practically it means nothing... theoretically it suggests that ur RMO is yet assessing ur meds, even if it's of one member in ur family [which I doubt].

Qorax
Ps.: As re. ur DMP sending ur med reports -- 99% they'd submit all urs together, in one bundle... they try saving on courier charges everytime.

Thanks for ur reply captain!! but i have another querie..

I just sent a CSE yesterday with this request info:

1. Ijust sent all the requirements to add my son to our application,my consultant says they already dispatch the papers. I just want to ask if the visa office received it or not because Ive been asking them any akcnowledgement letter whatsoever they dont reply.
2. How soon can I get my MR? My ecas status is IN Process since March 20,2012? Thank you.

I received an email from them telling me this.

"Thank you for your enquiry.

Please contact CIO Sydney for information regarding applications sent to / processed by their office: FSW-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca

Yours sincerely,

Client Service Unit"

Why do i have to send it in Sydney office?my papers are in their Office? really cofuse about it.
Help pls!!! Thanks in advance..

U r also unnecessarily contacting ur IO.
If ur agent states that s/he has submitted ur docs [adding baby] to the VO, there's a high likelihood that they have... and if it has gone to ur VO -- 99% they have recd. it & placed it in ur file.

These type of queries 'waste' the time of the IOs, inturn delaying ur case. And that reply of their's is:
a) the responder [staff] has no clue what u r talking about, having not read ur query properly;
b) ur query mail might be of large content, with multiple issues, wherein the responder lost interest & played GIGO*;
c) a case of just putting u into 'spin' and passing the buck.

Do you have receipts from your medical tests? Keep them just in case. Be in contact with your DMP,ask if they forgot to send meds of anyone. Ask VO if they`ve received meds of all members from DMP or if they have to receive them from VO`S medical section.

Hi shah1234,

Since the email clearly says 'awaited to be assessed', so i'd presume that they've been received and it is the assessment that's due. Otherwise they'd have written 'awaited to be received'. Not sure i should be contacting then again unnecessarily, as Qorax pointed out.

Yes, I have the meds receipt with me.

Good luck all!

That's correct.
-The pax who receives ur PRCs could post u the same, privately, overseas. Though against the rules - but many resort to the same anyway.
-There could be 2 risks though:
1. Lost in transit;
2. CPC might withhold issuing ur cards. I've observed few such cases, when the applicant is not in town.

Thanks again captain.But how do you think CPC know that we are not in town?
