hi all, and happy new year for all,

Recently I sent RPRF along with MR, but i gone through hard time to find a band draft, i used to get it from AL FARDAN Exchange in abu dhabi, but they stopped issuing it and all other exchangers as well so I went to banks to issue but one but most of them requested that i have a bank account with them,hence I went to Dubai islamic bank where i got an account there,i went to international remmittances and asked him to issue bank draft for '' general receiver of canada'' they teller was shocked,i felt it was his first time to make such transaction, I spent long time expaling the draft cheque to him and who supposed to collect it,my effort was succesfull when i showed him a copy of al fardan exchange bank draft, he even took the copy for his reference,anyhow....the Duban islamic bank draft was showing the name of bank in toronto where my money was transfered there from my bank account, now my worry is that i came across someone here in the forum who took bank draft from ADCB and it was returned to him becuz of domicile problem .....( dont know what that means either ) so i hope anyone can give his opinon on dubai islamic bank draft plz?

I think you are in Dubai. It is better if you get ethihad. They give 46 kg baggage allowance. Also no hassle in London airport as they directly fly to Toronto. If u catch any flight which pass through London, some time u will have to obtain transit visa.

Finally I ve got time to write all my lovely friends over there. lemme start with my landing experience. I have landed to Toronto on 24th Nov,12. It was a 14 hrs journey from AUH (Etihad Airways) and It took almost 1 hr to finish the process. Immigration people were very friendly. Don't forget to carry the B4 form, it'll make the process faster. I took full day rest on next day as it was Sunday. On Monday, I have visited service Canada to get my SIN number, I opened a bank account in CIBC, and took a pre-paid connection from chat-r (CAD 40 package, unlimited talk time to anywhere in CA) but the only problem is it doesn't have data package. So, I might switch to WIND soon. I am staying with one of my friends n he's so nice that i'm still in my honeymoon period but soon I have start searching for job. In the meantime I have contacted welcome center for assistance. It's useful as well. Couldn't apply for my health card yet as I don't have any proof of address. I'll apply once I get my account statement mail.

I was busy in buying some worm cloths as I was almost naked in Dubai (Desertland to Iceland). All the best for all my friends and pray for me.

2- what did you do with extra load and baggages , I have 200 kg and do not know what to do?

1- I want to stay only one month in Toronto and get back to Dubai.
I was told that my return ticket should be minimum 6 months from the date of arriving.
if not officer will not consider me as landing for permanent residency.. is it true?
in that case as i am going to land around 21 March ,i need to buy the return ticket for Aug2013.
.
But i should change it later and return 21 April.!!

2- We are 2, me and my wife. totally we have 300kg , so still i am over ? what is the best way bringing them to toronto?

1. No issues. No one will ask u to show ur tkts.
2. U can bring them in parts... some at this time & some while entering Canada next. Or use a shipping agency (though I do not advocate that).
