1. Not required.
2. It should be exactly as in the pps. Eg.:

PPS STATE -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SPLIT IT AS
a) Hilary Rodham Clinton (in one line, either in Given Name or Surname) .......................................... GIVEN NAME: Hilary, LAST NAME: Rodham Clinton
b) Hilary (in Given Name), Clinton (in Surname) ............................................................................ GIVEN NAME: Hilary, LAST NAME: Clinton

Note: It doesn't matter whether the pps have "Bestpal" in the surname or "Clinton"... u should split it as it says in the pps.
Thank You again, Captain Sahib! :)

You annulled my unfounded anxiety! 8) A Big Relief!

Re-posting again for the benefit of newcomers!

Immigration acronyms:

========================

AOR - Acknowledgement of Receipt

CAIPS - Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System. This is the computer system used by Citizenship and Immigration Canada for storing all overseas visa application information. This system records every bit of information you provide. It is like an electronic identity; existence of the applicant. This is very helpful when anything abnormal happens (e.g. delay in reply, lack of updation, long processing time). It is also helpful when you are selected for the interview. You can know the probable cause of interview requirement by obtaining the CAIPS notes.
CANN - Community Airport Newcomers' Network
CELPIP - Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program. This is one of only two English language testing organizations approved by CIC (IELTS is the other). CELPIP testing is only available in Canada (Vancouver and Toronto) and China.
CPP - Canada Pension Plan
CIC - Citizenship and Immigration Canada
CICIC - Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials
CIDA - Canadian International Development Agency
COPR - Confirmation of Permanent Resident Form
CSQ - Certificate du Selection du Quebec (Quebec Certificate of Selection)

IRPA - Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
IRPR - Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations
EAL - English as an Additional Language
e-CAS - e-Client Application Status. This on-line service allows CIC clients to view securely the status of immigration and/or citizenship application(s) on-line, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You may use this service if you have sponsored a member of the family class, applied for permanent residence from within or outside Canada, applied for a permanent resident card (initial, replacement or renewal), applied for a grant of Canadian citizenship, or applied for a proof of Canadian citizenship.
EFL - English as a Foreign Language
EI - Employment Insurance (also sometimes referred to as unemployment insurance)
ELT - English Language Training/Teaching
ESL - English as a Second Language
ESOL - English for Speakers of Other Languages
ESP - English for Specific Purposes
GIC - Guaranteed Investment Certificate
GST - Goods and Services Tax
H&C grounds - Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds. In the case of Canadian immigration, refers to section A25(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Any person who does not comply with the three categories of immigration to Canada (family, economic and refugee) may ask to be considered for immigration selection on H&C grounds.
HRDC (see HRSDC) - former Human Resources Development Canada
HRSDC - Human Resources and Skills Development Canada. The government agency responsible for performing both Arranged Employment Opinions and Labour Market Opinions for the purposes of obtaining employment confirmation letters. Such letters may be required by Skilled Worker applicants when attempting to qualify for the additional ten points under the Arranged Employment Factor.
ICCS - International Council for Canadian Studies
ID - Identification
IELTS - International English Language Testing System. One of only two English language testing organizations approved by CIC (CELPIP is the other). Note that Skilled Worker applicants will want to complete the IELTS 'General Training' exams, not the 'Academic Training' exams.

Hi Chaps,
Are there any applicants here who have sent their full documentation in September /October 2010 to LVO? If so , have you chaps received any intimation of Medical Examination?

I have noticed that applicants have begun to receive MRs in other forums.

If you wish to talk to me my number is 0529235722.

Regards,
Smikri

Another question to this forum. How exactly did those who received a MR actually receive the intimation? Was it through the PO box? Quick answers would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Smikri

In process since the 26th of March and also received a letter to wait from 6 to 12 months before communicating to LVO

Hi Everyone (particularly Superman Qorax 8))

My medicals were done around 20th April 2012 and the additional documents asked (along with medical) were delivered to London Visa office on 25th april 2012. Since then my e-CAS status is showing as In Process and details dont mention that my medicals have been received. It only says that file was transferred to London in Mar 2010 and they started processing on 29th Feb 2012.

I do have a travel history of business travel to Spain, US, UK, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, UAE during last 10 years but mostly for only a few days atmost. Do you think that could have contributed to long background/security checks? Is that normal or should i start worrying about this about my application being rejected? If not now, when should i start worrying? ;D

Hi Pithuda

Your story is almost exactly like me

My medical done and received by LVO on 16 April 2012.
My newborn boy medical test received on 09 July 2012

And still my e case showing IN PROCESS without medical test received on my status.
I don't know why this delay in processing.

So waiting and be positive is the only solution ;D ;D :D

Hi Pithuda!

Firstly, welcome to the forum.

Secondly, I do not think your file (with given inputs) should be negated at all. Yes, it could mean longer time for the checks etc. (given your travel history) and now that additional time period is also over, you should be hearing the good news of your PPR very soon! Have faith in God and keep it to the highest level! :)

Thirdly, Revamp your Outlook towards life to be positive than the contrary!. Life is always full of water, honey, milk and syrup rather than devoid of that! :p . At the most, write an email inquiring your visa Officer for the status of your file, but politely and cheerfully! Do not write something like " are you going to give me the PPR or are going to reject it......!" Please do NOT write like this! It would be preposterous as if you are pushing the VO to do something drastic! :(

Your statement/queries "Is that normal or should i start worrying about this about my application being rejected? If not now, when should i start worrying? " compelled me to caution you for your betterment and sincerely hope that you will take this as very very positive. Get solace from my timeline (almost similar) and Start living my friend and Stop Worrying (now does that sound like a Dale Carnegie authored book? If yes, then be happy and Enjoy!! :D ;)

Best Wishes!

Hi Bestpal,
Thank you very much for your kind words :).
i am new and didnt notice that there are more than one Supermen here :). I was browsing through the thread and found you to be one of as active members as Qorax. It seems we can have an Avengers like team of friends here :).
I have noted your advice but I was just being naughty. No issues at all. My family is definitely excited for this opportunity but this is Canadian immigration only and not end of life :). God has been always kind and we are enjoying a wonderful life here in Dubai as well.
I read this forum only today for the first time and got a bit jumpy after reading so much information and so many good news from fellow brothers and sisters. More importantly (while laughing at myself), I planned a good 4 weeks vacation for December in anticipation of a landing opportunity and now my wife is making fun of me all the time now as my plans seem to be getting delayed constantly.

BTW, I did write a message through web-based form to LVO as advised by you.

one quick question:

How long does it take once passports are sent to LVO for visa stamp? I mean once they receive it, around how much time do they take to send them back and how do they send it?
