Application submitted on 26 May 2011
NOC: 2151
First AOR and file transfer to visa office: 26 July 2011
Visa office: London

I’m a bit confused about some of the applicants that I’m ready about and seems that they got their medical request after only couple of months from submitting their applications!!!

Can someone help me to understand what exactly the time frame that I should be looking for ? PLEASE HELP

I am worried about my PR as I have no news from the London office for the past 14 months now.

I had sent all my documents to London office in March 2010 and received the acknowledgment in July 2010. They mentioned to check Ecase regularly and wait 8 months for their response. I try to check Ecase but no matter what file number i try, i am not able to access, and I tried to mail the visa office as well, enquiring about the status of my papers, but I havent received a response from their side.

I am just thinking that have they rejected my case ?

Are there others with my timeline or am I the only one waiting so long??

Kindly advise how can i follow up my application .

Hi Lovie,
Do not worry there are many others too waiting even longer than you and so pls be patient. Do not worry the time lines are now extended even up to 24 months and do not worry your application is not rejected.
You will get to hear something from CHC in few months time

B4 nov 10 you should hear from CHC london. either for some addt documents or MEds. if not shoot a case inquiry by mail.

there is no cause for worries

Guys who got the 2nd AOR from 24th march 2010 are waiting for Meds / addt document request from CHC. and ur AOR is dated July 2010. so be cool things are in track. ur appli is not rejected

Well come..As biju said You should get it by NOV 11..I got my medical after 5 months of application filed..

So no worries.

I would like to add some more points that i learned in the meeting:

- Land as soon as possible after getting the PPR. Do not delay, as you never know what can happen.
- Email the High comission directly if needed, regardless if you have hired a consultant
- Investors immigration can take between 3 to 5 years (so dont beleive consultants who promise 9 months)
- There is no need to hire a consultant, with all the information available in this forum and our family guidance
- Car insurance is around $350 Canadian monthly
- Networking is a must, and always be there for someone who needs any kind of help.
- Average pay per hour is $12 to $19 depending on the experience. Minimum pay is 10.25$.

I am sure, no consultant in the country has this much information as our senior's has. And none of us might have opted for a consultant if we had known about this forum and the great leaders.

Few point which Captain had emphasized today (for those who did not attend)..

1. The fund you are supposed to carry is good for three months of your stay there. You should have sufficient fund for few more months, so that you will be free from financial worries till you are settled. So from the day you apply, stop all your unwanted purchases, start saving..

2. Once you land in Canada, one of the first things you have to do is to join a co-operative college and get trained. This will make you accustomed to Canadian culture.

3. Average time taken by an HR consultant to review a CV is 20sec. So the CV need to be framed accordingly.

4. Take up the first job you get even if it is not suiting your profile. You might get a better job, but you don't know when. Your experience, irrespective of the function, is counted as a Canadian experience.

Let me share one point for buying own house in Canada, a decent flat (2 bedroom) /Condo will cost on the average 400,000 CAD. Newly immigrants will have to pay around 30-35% down payment if they want to buy the house on loan in the first 6 months. And after a year, banks will only ask for 20-25% down payment.

So guys, as Captain suggested again and again, pls start YOUR SAVINGS..!!!!

I think we should get PPR maximum before our RPRF DD expired..otherwise they have to send it back for revised one..

What do you think on this point?..
