I have done paid internship as a 'Trainee' during the last semester of my undergraduate degree. This was a full time internship outside of Canada lasting for 5 months. I'm not sure if I can add this internship experience to my work history. This internship was related closely to the NOC I applied.

Does internship during Master's degree counts?

I read somewhere on website that the experience needs to be continuous for 1 year, will I not be able to add my current job to my profile? I have been working here for about 4 months now.

Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks
 
If it's outside Canada and paid, and you're applying under FSW, then yes. However, your qualifying experience needs to be 1 year of continuous work.

Qualifying experience - the work experience that qualifies you for the FSW class. Has to be skilled work (NOC 0,A,B), full time, continuous for at least a year in the same NOC, and paid.

If your 2 years of work is NOC 0,A,B, then yes, you qualify for FSW.

You can then add all other skilled work experience to get more years. Current job + Masters internship + Undergrad internship can be added as long as all three were paid, and NOC 0/A/B. They don't need to be the same NOC.

Hello there 21 goose, if lets say the person has 3 months coop in canada (as a part of studies) + 9 months of canadian work exp (0/a/b), then can it be clubbed (9+3) for additional points in the canadian 1 year in crs calculation (assuming the person already has quallifying experience for EE)? Hey man, happy that you got the answer. I am in the same situation. 3 months technical internship, with 4-5 months of management internship and other work experience. Cheers.

CEC class doesn't count experience gained while studying. You'll have to wait three more months to get the full year of Canadian work experience.

FSW class does count work ex during your studies, so that's different.

Actually there is a section in crs calculation online about Canadian work experience in the last 10 years. Do you think this 9+3 could be used for fswp, if not for cec?

Nope. If you gained any work experience while studying as a full time student IN Canada, it won't go towards minimum requirements, and neither will it add CRS points.

I see. So correct me if I am wrong. You're last statement means: that Canadian work experience during school might work for 'minimum requirement' for EE, but not for additional crs score points. Ok

1. CEC Class - It won't count towards minimum requirements OR CRS points.
2. FSW Class - It can count towards minimum requirements (assuming it meets the criteria listed on that page), but not towards CRS points.
3. FST Class - It won't count towards minimum requirements OR CRS points.

thank you. That was helpdul. I am just wonndering: If a candidate has two jobs and one of them is primary NOC code. Do you think the other job could act as a selecting factor for pnp? Or it is the only primary noc that decides ITA and PNP? :)

NOC doesn't really matter for PNP. The selection is made on the basis of what the province needs. The overall profile counts, so yes, the other job can help as well.

Okay thank you. I thought that the prmary job selected for EE only selects the candidate for ITA or PNP. If someone has like 2 jobs of 2 years each then definitely one of them is primary, and other should not just give points, it should also be seen by cic and provinces so that ita or pnp could be given. That was my confusion.
