Hi all,
I am sitting in the pool and have not received an invitation. But my first employer said that immigration asked for papers to confirm my experience. I am sitting at 430 CEC. What does it mean? They are checking me so they can issue an invitation?

You should get more info from your employer. Was it internal from your HR Dept in charge of immigration or external like IRCC. It's not likely that IRCC will go asking employers for their staff that want to immigrate.

Yes, it was external.

August 2018 file number
Added spouse August 2019 and spouse medical July 2020 and Landing fees paid same in july and other requested documents including schedule A. Got call at workplace sept 7 2020.
Hello, was it the manager that got called or the number on company website?

I showed two Canadian employers and 1 employer in Bangladesh. According to the GCMS notes, they just did a Google search of the website and was satisfied with the employment reference letter that I provided. My PVO is Kitchener.

For Canadian employers, I don't think IRCC bothers to call because your employer's details can be verified from your Tax Assessment document if you submit them.

What kind of visa did you apply for?
I don't think they actually called your employer, I just feel maybe your manager got a hint that this was done. How did it go by the eay

Occasionally overseas employers are called. Happened with a friend.

They can, and do call Canadian employers. Even if they are extremely well known companies. I've seen it happen.
The decision to do so is always, at the discretion of the analyst or officer assessing an application.
