I can't remember where I saw it, but I feel like I read before that the official letter for declaring the the authenticity of the license had to be dated within 6 months. I got such a letter from the DMV back in December, I'm hoping I can use that instead of having to order a new letter.
Yes that letter should be valid for 6 months. But you could check with them to confirm if they would accept it considering covid-19 situation, not sure. Goodluck

Hello guys, my wife's OWP has a restriction for "Health Service Field Occupations" which is a bummer since her training and experience are in that field. We were going to apply for a change of this restriction but apparently it needs a medical exam. I was wondering if we can also use this medical exam for the PR application? I can't seem to find the information.

Hi all,
So quiet here, hope everyone is keeping safe?
Let's keep hanging in there having come thus far. October applications are seeing significant movements. Concerned we that applied for PR after December 3rd, 2019 would have to give biometric again. I wish IRCC comes up with a policy to waive biometric because of Covid-19

Looking for information on the same? Just got the medical done for PR. Instead of applying for a change of conditions on the work permit, spending 255 CAD and waiting 3 months, Is it advisable to go for a flagpole at the border and request them to issue a new work permit with the condition removed.

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to mention that I went ahead and got my medical exam done before receiving the request. I live in New Brunswick and I was able to get an appointment and get my medical exams done in 2 days. I was told that results will be sent to IRCC in 2 weeks.

I decided not to wait any longer for the medical exam request from IRCC because there is no indication whatsoever as to when they might start sending these requests out again, and my husband and I are trying for a baby. If I get pregnant, then I will not be able to do the chest x-ray portion of the exam and my spousal sponsorship application will be put on hold until I get that bit done, which would be another year of "waiting". I paid about $400 for the full exam instead of $600 because I have Medicare (NB's healthcare).

Best of luck to all!

I passed my medical exam yesterday September 12, 2020.

December 3rd applicant. Just got my medical request. I know we cannot get refused for a medical reason with spousal. I am going through chemo atm and just need to make sure appointment is when my immune system is good. Encouraging news though. Things are moving folks :)

Nice to see some movement is happening regarding medical requests! Is anyone still able to access the google doc? When I try it says error.

December 6, also just got medical request? Does medical request more or less mean approval? Or was that only for outland?

Got the request for biometrics over the phone and they say I need my letter? But I don't have a letter in mail or online. All I've received is the "make sure you pay bio" letter. Am I missing something?

Yes service Canada is just resuming biometrics services. They are calling people on phone to get them to give their biometrics. I just saw the announcement today on IRCC tweeter handle with the website link:

December, I paid the bio, linked my application, and online in my account the pr application says I don't need bio.
Then suddenly phonecall saying they are scheduling bio appointment. No BIL letter received
